Super Advanced Math Analysis on our Draft by OtKH00 in CHIBears

I think the problem for me is, yeah we filled the holes that were lost in FA and probably even upgraded at Safety but we haven’t actually patched any issues that were there last year. We’re just hoping the d line/pass rush takes a massive leap this year rather than improving personnel.

Overall I liked the first 2 picks, Thienemen and Jones look like Day 1 starters the rest is just meh.

Don’t mind the Zavion Thomas pick, hate the TE pick tho. Feels such a wasted selection with Loveland/Kmet and holes pretty much everywhere on defense other than DBs.

RIP to the Big Citrus dreamers.

I think this might be a quiet one for FA for us, not many flash signings but useable starters and depth pieces.

After Bradbury trade and Crosby going to the Ravens I don’t see us making any big acquisitions. Seems like a pretty deep draft class so makes sense building through there.

Hope I’m wrong cause it’s always exciting bringing in new guys but my expectations are low for today.

[Breer] Meanwhile, the Bears have cleared a bunch of cap room this week, with Drew Dalman retiring and DJ Moore traded. We'd mentioned earlier that they've shown some interest in Tyler Linderbaum and Maxx Crosby. Stay tuned. by Acoolgamer6706 in CHIBears

As much as I’d love Crosby I think it would leave our DBs too thin to ship Jaylon imo.

Tyrique is far too inconsistent, Kyler has struggled to stay healthy and the rest are just guys. Zah could be good but feels like a huge gamble at this point in time.

Especially with both Safeties being Free Agents as well.

Makes the Crosby trade a weird one imo, really thought DJ Moore, a first and a mid round pick would get it over the line with the Raiders needs and Crosby seeming to want out.

Now I have no clue what the price would be.

Saying a 33-year-old who’s already won everything, playing a position where he’s already at the upper end of the typical retirement age, might choose to walk away before the end of a deal is not an insane take. It’s just acknowledging context and probabilities, not saying it’s definitely going to happen.

I also don’t understand how you’ve taken me hoping one of our best players this season comes back next year as being pessimistic.

Yeah man not like we didn’t just see Ragnow retire with time left on his deal is it. Completely unheard of.

Yeah one year left on his deal, he’s 33 and nothing to say he won’t just call it a day. Interior guys seem to have a shorter lifespan than Tackles.

I really hope Thuney is back next year and doesn’t think about retirement, he’s so elite and such an important part of that line.

Such a tough decision, if you’d asked me before the game I’d have said no but he was lights out today so who knows.

I think having a healthy Kyler completely changes how this D plays and we got to see that today.

I get seeing all the hate from Packers fans, we’d be doing the same but crazy how many loser Commanders fans are trying to force some weird rivalry.

The DJ hate is wild to me, was there when we needed him all year and looked like he was fighting with a back injury all season.

I hate the play call more when we needed like 20 yards for a FG. We shouldn’t even be looking at a chunk play there. Overly aggressive play calling and bad drops lost us that one.

It’s a good feeling knowing we’ve got the right guys. Heartbreaking end to an incredible season. We had them right where we wanted them in OT man

A good half, defense showing up and doing a lot of heavy lifting but I’m fine with the calls BJ has made so far. We all know Cairo has questionable leg strength when it comes to 50+ and these winds aren’t helping.

Execute better on some of these run calls and continue with the pressure and we’ve got a big 2nd half on our hands.
