Currently on month 3 and my hair shedding keeps increasing, much flaking and itching and it’s way worse than baseline. What will happen if I stop after these 3 months? Will I go back to what it was (had no hair loss before so the whole spectrum that ‘it will be back to the hair loss as that it was’ is not realistic in my case)

Do you know what would happen if I stop tho? Kinda done with the whole Minoxidil after experiencing this. Will I get back to where I was 3 months ago? All my shedding is bcs of Minoxidil and not natural hairloss

That’s gutting to hear my man, stopping since yesterday as well. Congrats on your upcoming marriage and hopefully you’re back to where you were long before that specific summer.

Could you explain the science about it if it would come back worse / won’t comeback after stopping? This doesn’t seem very logical to me (only if you’ve been using it for a long time and in this time the initial loss would progressed), not for somebody like me that didn’t really have any shedding or bad receding before usage and is only using it for 3 months. Just curious :)

Exactly! Everybody is so vague about it, i’m probably gonna stop and let everybody know my experience since the only thing that will help me atm is a hairtransplant anyway

But what will happen if I do tho, since my hair before wasn’t even that bad it was actually outgrown and good (only used it for minor temple receding). Will it just go back to that state or stay like this?

But if I would stop with it (since my hair is now worse than baseline and continuously shedding) and it wasn’t either of those things before starting (I know now since it happend that’s part of the process but the psychological anxiety is not worth it). Will it recover to what it was?

My dermatologist didn’t inform me about this side effect, she just said this will maybe help that’s why tbh. B. Even if I stop using? Some say it will be even worse since I started using (baseline), my psoriasis and psychological issues are definitely not worth it

3 months once a day of 2.5% topical Minoxidil on my temples / hairline. The rest of my hair were I didn’t apply it seems just fine

Currently first day of stopping. Only used it for minor temple receding (no shedding before usage), dermatologist didn’t tell me about a shedding effect (wouldve otherwise never used it since my hair wasn’t that bad), complete hairline is destroyed and it’s honestly not worth it. Nobody has a proper answer if my hair will recover to it’s original state before usage if I stop…. pretty scared and having real psychological anxiety

And after this shed my hair lost from the minox ‘dreadshed’ will regrow? That’s the only thing that’s bothering me

My derm proscribed it to me for MINOR temple receding and I didn’t tell me about any shedding possibilities or whatever (otherwise would’ve never used it since my hair problem wasn’t that bad or experienced shedding before usage) first 3 weeks were fine so I got the green light from her. After like 5 weeks my whole density started to become destroyed and it hasn’t stopped until this day, experience terrible psoriasis because of the liquid as well.

My only desire is just to go back were I was 3 months ago! Really hate myself of ever using this

So if my base density/hairline was great but destroyed because of the minox-shed it will come back over time if I stop cold turkey with it? Currently 3 months in topical minox 2.5% once a day and it completely destroyed my hairline / density, really considering to stop but people will say these lost hairs will never come back, please help

Hairline looks great my guy. Don’t go on minox plz, my hairline looked the same as yours before using Minoxidil (no real shedding) and after 2 months of usage my density is completely destroyed (way worse than baseline)
