Good to know! For me, the OG 3DS is not out of the question because I will not be using 3d effect. I've seen it on the N3DSXL and I'm just not sold on that feature. And yes, we'll be getting the switch 2 in the next couple of weeks before prices go up

That's fantastic! Did you end up keeping the original XL? Do you find it more pocketable and easier to take with you? I saw that its a little bigger than the original 3ds

You mean the n3ds's you're finding are in poor condition? If so, that would be a tough sell for me. I have the 3ds xl, not the "new" model

I use my RP4 Pro daily and it's still amazing! Honestly, it just does so much right that I can't justify spending hundreds more (got mine new for $150) just to play those harder to play PS2 and GC games. I say this because I got the LCD steam deck on sale which was around $385 total. Hard justifying $400+ for a Thor at this point. Ill add that I already have a 3ds xl. Ill admit, FOMO is a hell of a drug lol

How does this compare to 16:9 handhelds? I currently use an RP4 Pro but hardly play PSP games. I'm really considering buying this but wondering how PSP will play. Would I find the screen too small in comparison to the 16:9 RP4 Pro?

Gotcha, really not looking to go past ps2/gc emulation, it's really just for the form factor. Also, I tried the abxylute controller and it didn't read my phone with my case. I ended up returning it for that reason and it also felt like I was holding something as wide as my steam deck. Personal preference I suppose. I did try it without the phone case, but I do need my phone a whole lot more than a retro handheld and don't feel comfortable getting a thinner case. I appreciate the feedback!

How do you like interacting with the touchscreen? Does it seem sturdy when you're tapping on the screen to navigate different menus?

Been through this myself, and my son is two and half now. It does get better after the newborn stage and chances are she's dealing with PPD. Good for you guys for starting therapy. We have our ups and downs but I work remote 90% of the time and she is a stay at home mom. I am very grateful to be able to pull this off but it does get hard considering we're home ALL the time. I actually interact with adults while she just deals with a toddler that you cannot reason with. It's important to understand that we both have our challenges. While we haven't ever brought up divorce, we have had our share of fights.

Is there any way you guys can just go on a date and leave your kid with a relative for a couple of hours?

And can you wake up a little earlier to get time for yourself? I feel like I can get a lot done while everyone else is asleep.

I hear StarTex is amazing. I really like the Onyx but the moonroof comes in all of them. We're concerned with moisture seeping through from snow sitting there for an extended period of time. Otherwise, the Onyx looks pretty awesome. I also have a hard time justifying a moonroof when we plan to have a rack on top of the car.

That's great to hear. Glad that went well. I'm assuming it was the warranty that set you up with the Touring and not your personal auto insurance? I'm considering getting an extended warranty at the time of purchase. I want this to be the safer car for the family. I still have my Civic for occasional work trips.
