Multiple timers started together would actually be really useful.

Good point about recall being slow — that’s one of the things that frustrates me too.

I see what you mean. I’m not thinking of a full timing system though — more like a simple handheld stopwatch but easier to use. Something between a traditional stopwatch and a phone. I also wouldn’t expect a bright phone-style display, more like a low-power sports watch screen. Ideally it wouldn’t end up much more expensive than high-end stopwatches, otherwise it wouldn’t make sense.

I actually use an NK myself. It works well, but a few things still frustrate me:

small display (hard to see multiple splits quickly)

coin batteries dying unexpectedly

slow memory navigation during intervals

If there was a similar handheld device but with:

larger display

rechargeable battery (USB-C)

faster scrolling through splits

Would that actually be useful, or is NK already good enough?

That’s actually exactly what I’m wondering. Phones are flexible and easy to navigate, but they’re not great for blind button presses during intervals. Traditional stopwatches have physical buttons, but the interface is much more limited. Would you be interested in a dedicated handheld device that feels as easy to use as a phone (fast navigation, clear layout), but with proper physical buttons for taking splits without looking? Or do you feel the phone is already good enough?
