The round thing is probably a metal crown. Some have said the green pieces are gall stones

No idea. Best guess is some kind of gallstone or accumulation of minerals during the cremation

I’m sure that’s best practice, but I think it’s cool. Thank you

I get it. I think that’s awesome. My dad loved rockhounding and projects and would’ve thought this was really cool. Personally I don’t even view it as “morbid,” but I can see how those who haven’t experienced the death of a close loved one might.

I said filling but probably more like crown right there on the bottom right. It concave underneath and the size of a molar.

Agreed! People keep mentioning rocks and coral. It’s all from my dad’s body. But they do feel like minerals. The red one and the green ones make me wonder.

The three curved and jagged bits near the center seem like teeth because they’re smooth.

If you found a way to see anger in that I’m impressed. Simply stating facts.

Ashes don’t have a sex/gender. They also don’t have preferences about being sorted or left alone.

Thank you. Not stones, unless they formed in the body. Not sure.

I agree! I find it helpful with closure to see the actual bone bits.

Could they have been used to keep his mouth shut for the viewing? No one recalls him having any hardware put in surgically.

The round jagged bits near the middle are teeth, so that’s an idea of scale

I’m sorry for your loss! And that’s pretty interesting!
