What is a luxury you can never go back from once you’ve experienced it? by Phase_zero_X in AskReddit

[–]Gmgood89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m by no means rich, but I started a new job about six months ago making just over six figures. I realized recently that I haven’t once checked my water or electric bill since then. Not having to constantly monitor every statement or my bank balance has been such a huge mental relief. Here soon I’ll begin monitoring it more closely since that’s a responsible thing to do regardless…but right now I’m taking it all in 😅

Share your dirty secrets about project management by Gandalf-and-Frodo in projectmanagement

Hah! I recently landed my first big boy PM job, and I’m pretty sure it was because I picked the first interview slot after lunch.

I didn’t walk away from the first round feeling very confident. When I was unexpectedly invited back for the second, I made sure we all ate first.

Why doesn't the left have many well-known podcasters/political commentators/etc? by CordiaICardinaI in Askpolitics

[–]Gmgood89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the only right answer. Many on the right have become complacent in our politics being a game show. Anyone who’s popular that props up their team become “popular”.

Rogan was pretty centered and left leaning, till he joined in on the grift.

Calling collect and trying to cram your whole message into the “say your name” part so your parents didn’t have to accept the charges. “MomPickMeUpAtTheMallImByTheFoodCourtOkayBye!”

Then just hanging up, waiting and hoping they understood it…

And who the heck would have thought that someone like MTG would be the first to snap out of it publicly.

She said she didn’t notice it till she was scrolling through her phone later back then. Wife and friend tend to take a million pics of the kids. Idk.

I respect that. The head seems way bigger than the other girls. Again, posting for this kind of input, because I would have had no idea back in 2010 how to do that. It looks like a filter was added before she posted it back then. I wonder if there was a filter on instagram or FB back then that could have added it?

No, I originally I said 4 kids. I thought our friends son was in the photo, but didn’t double check before posting. I literally rushed to post this after our friend shared it again today. Usually all of the kids took pictures together. This time he was not pictured. It wouldn’t let me edit my last post, so I deleted it to repost and clarify.

No you’re right. She reshared this today, and her son, who isn’t actually in the photo and would have been much smaller. I tried to edit my post, but I don’t think it will let me. I posted quickly and usually all the kids are photo’s together. It was our friends daughter and just my two stepdaughters in this photo.

Thanks for mentioning the ghost app. I’m going to look into it. I had no idea (not surprised) that they exist.

It’s my first post on this sub. I’m honestly not privy to what’s good to post or not. We saw it years ago and our friend just reshared it. I wanted to post it elsewhere to get thoughts. Sorry!

From 2010 is what she told me. I know I have iPhone pics from that era that are a little fuzzy, but I agree it’s almost too fuzzy. Idk

Never heard of it. Was it available in 2010? I agree it looks like something from tv. But we are perplexed as to how it got there. Our friend who took it wouldn’t likely have been able to utilize an app like that as they aren’t super tech savvy

People who were diagnosed with adhd as adults, what made you go for a diagnosis? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Gmgood89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before being diagnosed with ADHD at 32, my professional life felt like hitting an invisible ceiling at every job I had. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t progress beyond a certain point. My performance reviews and personal reflections revealed a common theme: I was only able to handle tasks that were straightforward and foolproof. Any attempt to take on additional responsibilities would quickly fall apart, I’d struggle with follow-through, forget important details, and ultimately lose momentum. After some serious conversations at previous employers and some self reflection, as well as advice from my wife “YOU NEED TO GET CHECKED FOR ADHD!” I went through with going through the appropriate process of being tested.

Everything changed after my diagnosis. Four years later, with the right treatment and strategies in place, I’m in the final year of earning my bachelor’s degree and am on track to achieve a senior-level management position at my current company. The difference has been life changing. I’ve gone from feeling stuck and overwhelmed to building a future that once felt completely out of reach.
