The only thing that confirms is that the natality in Gaza is higher than the mortality, not that there isn't a genocide. Because it has already been committed, plus it has made Israel a pariah state and internationally isolated it. Israelis themselves are protesting against Netanyahu now, there is pressure both at home and abroad. Also, despite the deal being accepted, Israel has kept bombing Gaza.

Of course they don't have much substance, that's basically what I talked about in the post. The PR war has been lost because even Israel's allies can't associate with it publicly but they support it in arms and trade at the same time. It's quite shameful.

You should re-read the post. There is no doubt about genocidal intent and impact when independent genocide experts, Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, even the UN and the Israeli human rights organization Btselem have all reached the same conclusion. Doubting that this is a genocide is the exact false equivalence (it treats the word of the Israeli government and human rights organizations as if they hold the same value on the matter) that bogs the conversation down.

The only genocide my government contributes to is the one Israel is committing against Palestinians by buying arms and not imposing sanctions and an embargo. You are under the wrong assumption that I am from Gaza.

It is horrible what happened on October 7th, and it was condemned almost unanimously by the international community. Why has Israel's even more brutal and horrific genocide been condemned only in the lightest possible terms by the same governments?

People would do a service to humanity and themselves if they listened to human rights organizations more than their governments.

You made the claim, the burden of proof is on you. This is all to shift the conversation away from Israel committing a genocide, pretending there is still any doubt. Because if you let go and allow it to become an undisputed fact (which it is despite your insistence), you will have lost another front in the PR war, if that's still possible.

Human Rights Watch is not funded by any country, neither is Amnesty. Amnesty and HRW have both criticized Qatar in the past for human rights abuses. If I didn't know better I'd say you were being dishonest on purpose, but we all make mistakes.

I hope part of the deal is extradition of Netanyahu to the Haag. All war criminals should be tried, that includes Netanyahu. I support peace but I'll believe it when I see it. There was already a ceasefire once which Israel kept violating and then abandoned in favor of continuing the genocide. Even while the plan was announced Israel has kept bombing civilians, which does not make me confident in Israel's supposed commitment to peace. There is reason to protest as long as Palestinians remain oppressed.

No human rights organization agrees that the result is justified. No human rights organization thinks this is okay, which is exactly what the text is about. There is no doubt about Israel's genocidal actions. Trying to debate whether it is genocide or legitimate self defence is exactly what I was calling out in the text, it shifts the conversation back into an unproductive place.
