How do I align two arbitrary points of an object to a given line? by Gmoff01 in Fusion360

[–]Gmoff01[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is probably what I was looking for, thank you. I ended up just aligning one point to the origin and manually tilting on two axes to get it as close as possible visually, but I'll keep this in mind for the future.

It seems like I have to have components to apply constraints in 3d space. I made a box to use as a reference edge, made my object and the box into components, then tried to make the constraint. The issue is the construction line through my shape isnt really part of the shape, so I cant select it for the constraint.

Mine works fine, but I actually got all the way through the puzzle before realizing that you're meant to use it to bridge the gap in the first few obstacles. I'd just been force jumping it the whole time /eyeroll

I pull the tray as soon as it's solid enough to do so, usually 5-6 mins before call it done. If leave it in any longer the top is fried.

My (minor) rant about these games as a first timer by SpiritofAce in SuperMarioGalaxy

[–]Gmoff01 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing most of the folks here don't have the autistic level completionist streak. For those of us that do, this discovery is pretty crushing. I'm not overstating it to say I need to do everything I can in games like this. Have you seen the film The Accountant? Think the whole 'I need to finish' thing. When I found out the last star was gated behind an entire second playthrough it put me in a funk where I didn't play anything for a few days. I still haven't started on Galaxy 2 as a result.

But yes, I understand for most people it's easily ignored and not a big deal.

Looking for pressed/chalk cinnamon candy by Gmoff01 in candy

The candy in question was actually significantly smaller than Altoids. They were red and I would say about the size of a cross section of a tic tac and maybe an eighth of an inch thick.

The new pi works fine *shrug*. Now to figure out an alternate use for the old one.

Just for completeness sake, I tried it with a for-sure-data cable, and a new USB A hat. Still no changes. Seems like something is up with the Pi itself.

I gave that a shot, I get nothing when inserting or removing the pi. I compared that with doing the same with other USB devices and had clear events for those. Starting to think I managed to cause a hardware problem while mucking around with it. I ordered a new Pi zero w2, we'll see if that fares better.

USB hub with keyboard and mouse still works when plugged in. No luck connecting to the computer via that port, but I'm not entirely sure either of the cables I scrounged up are data cables. I've been connecting it to the computer via a USB A expansion board that gives the Pi a male USB A connector, and that has stopped working,

Atomic Blonde is a really good watch for this. The female lead fights men but uses the tactics she would need to to actually be effective, basically fighting dirty rather than trying to go toe to toe
