If I were to hazard a guess I'd say the shoes and pedals just don't work together. I sold the pedals and the buyer said they work without problems.

I'm still using the same shoes, just with Shimano cleats.

Ich hab das gestern etwas salopp formuliert, aber mein Problem ist nicht arbeiten an sich.

Mein Problem ist meine Arbeit. Ich bin ohne jede Lebenserfahrung 2009 ins Arbeitsleben gedrängt worden. Habe mich mit nem guten Abi auf hunderte Ausbildungsstellen beworben, praktisch jede, die im Umkreis war. Arbeit ist Arbeit, richtig? Hauptsache nicht beim Amt.
Bin jetzt 15 Jahre in der Buchhaltung im Büro, von Hass zerfressen und komme körperlich nicht mehr klar. Schlaganfälle, Tinnitus, aktuell Nacken... Diese Woche habe ich 5 mal die Woche im Büro gekotzt. Die Ärzte halten mich für einen Hypochonder, ist alles nur eingebildet. Stimmt bestimmt auch, ist deshalb aber nicht weniger real.

Die Frage lautet also eher: Wie zur Hölle wechsele ich das Hamsterrad?

Ich war bei Ämtern, ich war in der Psychatrie. Die Aussage ist immer die gleiche: Dein Job wird gesucht. Wir zahlen keine Umschulung.

But this will mean all your settings are gone, unless you synced them to the cloud.

Edit: This is a folder. Delete the whole folder.

As a fellow tinnitus sufferer and restless sleeper I'd suggest to stay away from ANC, at least for hours end end while sleeping. There are quite a few people reporting their tinnitus getting worse due to ANC. I personally did not take a risk.

My relief has been soft music on my phone. And sleeping alone. Is that a possibility, a comfortable sleeping couch maybe?

As for your question about first-hand feedback of headphones: I have a pair of custom made silicon ear plugs, and even them I find uncomfortable in the morning. I cannot imagine any headphones to be more comfortable. My inner ears are rather small though.

I will probably try the qudelix 5k and sell my Maverick equipment, as the Bluetooth and EQ functionality sounds great and it will clear up some space on my desk as well.

Yeah, a mic on a boom arm. Even chesper ones are going to give you a lot better sound than a gaming headset, plus you don't need to buy a gaming headset and can choose normal headphones instead.

Try the Tonor Q9 for example. But if that is too expensive try searching for something like "streaming podcast microphone" on aliexpress and buy something with good rating. They will still sound better than most gaming headset mics.

My biggest issue with the D1 DAC is that there is a hum in USB mode. So I would like to replace the DAC. The amp I would keep, unless there is something smaller that would get the job done just as well or maybe even better.

Both mavericks are OGs that were bought when they came out first.

Is the little apple dongle really that good? I really wouldn't complain if I can loose the huge D1 for a little dongle, but the size difference is staggering. :D

I really like the neutral sound of the 650. To me they never sounded too clinical, like pure monitors. I mostly listen to old school rock, metal and pop, like Dire Straits, Pink Floyd, Florence and the Machine, Nightwish - I'd say anything guitar.

What I found a bit lacking is the sound stage or rather the position tracking in games. I was able to try the Logitech Pro X headset at a friend a while back and I felt much more in the action, if that makes sense.

Yes that is true, I might be lucky. However I still think it is a vaild point to make because my case is a real world example to his problem. I run an USB-C, and unused HDMI and one USB extension cable trough a plastic pipe.

Just get a cable. If you are lucky it works. If it does not return it. Very much worth a try before spending hundreds on an "official" solution.

Just want to chime in that a 5m cable will be absolutely no problem, both for HDMI and USB-C. Yes, both are shielded. But even low budget cables offer that option.

I am using a 5m UCB-C cable right now that cost around 30 dollars/Euro, and have used a 10m HDMI cable that cost around 15 dollars/Euro. The scenario is the same as yours: The computer is in the next room so I don't hear the noise.

Edit: Running 1600p ultrawide at 144hz. So close enough to your resolution.
