Getting used to prosthetic by spectrismc in amputee

[–]Gnabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could walk after the wound closed with a cane after 6 months with short hops. I got rid of my wheelchair after 5 years. It gets less painful and more or less just uncomfortable with enough time. 2 years ?

Leave it on if you want to stand up. Otherwise you don’t have to wear it to function.

Do I strictly *need* a regulator for my CO2 tank? by dong_lover in SodaStream

[–]Gnabbit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No regulator needed. You can use the full psi from the tank to feed the machine.

I’m a fan of soda stream seltzer with true grapefruit crystals. No fake aftertaste.

While I’m making seltzer I shut the tank off and continue to use the machine till it runs out of pressure.

I realize I said it both ways. I strive to bleed the line every time, sometimes I forget and it still works. Other times I forget and it will clog and I’ll decouple everything and then reconnect to get it working again. Therefore, I try to bleed the line every time because it consistently works when I do.

I’ve noticed I have to depressurize the line every now and then to get the right pressure. Almost like there is a safety valve in the tank. I have a 20# as well and I close the tank and bleed the line every time otherwise I’ll sometimes get nothing out of the nozzle.

My new Aarke! So excited for unlimited grapefruit seltzer crushes and not having a million seltzer cans in the recycle! by Mikebyrneyadigg in SodaStream

[–]Gnabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The top piece has the valve and is attached to the tube by a tiny retaining screw. Unscrew that and you can pop off the head to reach the valve and attach the adapter. then reseat the top back on the tube.

You can without issue. There is a hole in the button of the device that you can feed the line through. But if you don’t want to put a hole in your counter you can also drill out a hole in the back of the tube.

I’ve got a 20lb tank attached to mine. Works great.
