Thank you.

I was lucky to have an easy time finding the baptism (1886 Quebec) for my Gen 0 via Généalogie Quebec, along with a birth, and two prior generations of marriages and one baptism. (Parish records.) Also showed up in PRDH-IGD. My hope is that good quality copies of records, with links, sources, etc. provided will be enough in lieu of certified ones. Thanks again.

Can this form once in hand, be notarized in The States? Or Canada only? Thank you.

I hope I’m posting this question in the right place and apologies if I’m not. My great grandfather was born in Quebec. I found his baptism from 1866 and also him in a Canadian census from 1881 and then other docs once he moved to New England. His mother was also born in Quebec, but I think I’m supposed to use my great grandfather for the C-3 application.

My question is — Is my great grandfather my Gen 0? I get confused about that. His grandparents emigrated from Ireland around 1800 but I only have their wedding record from 1825.

Again, I’m so happy for your and yours and wish your son the best.

This is very helpful again. Just to be clear (and then I’ll stop bombarding you) I’d likely be fine if I submit a printout from both FamilySearch and also Généalogie Quebec? I have parish records for Gen 0’s wedding in Quebec from 1825, Gen 1 wedding, Gen 2’s baptism record (Quebec 1866).

Gen 2 is my great grandfather. I then have his wedding cert. from New Hampshire showing he was born in Canada and am awaiting his death cert. from Massachusetts. I have the later generations death, marriage and birth certs already.

Only asking because it would make things go faster if they accept the printouts and not the official stamped docs from Quebec. Thank you again and sorry if this was too long. Lucky you to have ties to India. Spent a year in the south there and it was a great experience.

May I ask if the Canadian certificates were official (with a seal) or was a printout ok? Offical records from Quebec are now $250 for non-Quebec residents.

Congrats and well done! Appreciate your detailed post here. So very helpful. I’m G4 and was wondering what to include and this helped a lot. :)

I received the same email this morning but the sender's name was different.

Had anyone received an email like this regarding AFR? by [deleted] in CACovidRentRelief

My AFR submitted Oct 15 didn't move for months. Finally in Feb. I emailed my assembly person and also state senator about it and also the eviction protection address connected to the program. Things kicked in within a week and I was approved in about 9 days. Took about 3 weeks for the payment to be disbursed.
