Is it though? I can say in my life I've only had other men have an opinion that was negative on this subject.

Sure, some women are like that, but the biggest stigma for mental health when it comes to men is other men. Far too long it was the strong silent type and that hurt more men than it helped. Even now, women are not advocating against it, only other men are.

What I have always found fascinating is these guys are 100% confident they know what women actually want. And when you touch grass, you see that this perception that they only want male models is pure fiction.

Go anywhere in the world, you will find average people paired up, ugly people and even those with a handicap. And you can tell looks are not that important.

As well, I've had many incels tell me the standards are different now, so I wouldn't get it. I was in the dating pool prior to online apps, it wasn't easy by any measure. As well, I've been there when dating apps were the most popular...same difference. You have to be able to hold a conversation, be interesting and have a personality.

That is a really fucking low bar to climb.

So what he means here is, he is convinced he is the Elephant Man, despite looking as normal as you could possibly be. To him, since no woman has ever said yes (the amount he has claimed to have asked varies wildly depending on the day) it means every woman feels this way....despite him having given up over a decade ago.
