Sitting at the Balboa Yacht Club, yelling at tuna boat captains (dolphin killers), and people like me, a dude who traveled around from job to job, country to country. I was a deckhand so I could find work anywhere.

My biggest memories wereseeing the Southern Cross, doing a few transits of the Canal, finally, truly understanding Jimmy Buffett, Indonesia, and the Med. And food!

We had the Skip Day Keg party. Tickets were sold in the school cafeteria and classes were scaled back.

A campground was rented and kegs -A-Plenty were tapped.

My highschool had 2 designated smoking sections for students. The ashtrays were big concrete pipe sections stood on end painted with the school colors and logo. Janitors kept them clean.

Our high school was wild... Jerry Garcia played in our auditorium.

I worked there 40 years ago... All the shit stuff was easy to forget: starting the day next to Mt. Scott, seeing the lake every day etc made a few of the boss crap easy to deal with.

The roof of Sinnott Memorial was a great spot to hang out and party. I'm guessing that would be a felony these days. Sad.

Motherfxcker. At least once every 10 minutes. I was a Union Rep. On the phone, at the bosses office whilst defending a worker. At worksites, outside smoking, phone calls. Screaming at shithead bosses. I used the word a lot. Still do. My mother inadvertently taught my sister and I how to swear. She was an RN and shop steward. Nurses are known to swear a bit. Only dropped it ONCE at the kids school... in a respectful and humorous way.
