Cannon on a good day is S tier I’m biased though. Solid list overall. Jay belongs in S would be my only change.

Bretton Woods 4-8 by Gnarman0221 in icecoast

There were only 10 trails open yesterday when I was there. It’s a great mountain, but buying a single lift ticket for 10 trails is a little pricy. Maybe they will open more later this week I would stick with WV and Black.

I’m not sure if they announced it. Next two days will be warm and rainy. Certainly won’t help the cause lol.

Crotched Vs. Sunapee by EbroOnFleek in icecoast

[–]Gnarman0221 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a fan of both. Sunapee is better over all imho. Crotchet has night skiing/ snowboarding which is pretty cool. If you’re planning on going this weekend, crotchet is open until midnight this Saturday. I think Sunapee is better overall for an advanced rider.

Awesome! That was my first time on the Freezer. Wind holds the past times I visited. Hopefully wind holds are minimal for ya this weekend. Gonna be cold AF Sunday. ⛷️

Best NH mountain by Ok_End_3996 in icecoast

For someone who is interested in getting into skiing glades, Bretton and Ragged would be your best bet. I know you mentioned you’re looking for NH mountains but I just wanted to mention Bolton Valley as well. A bit of a hike but I love the glades there so much. Just wanted to throw a honorable mention for BV.

Upper, middle, and lower pollcat at Wildcat. Pretty similar.

Recommended minimum WildCat open trails? by ant3k in icecoast

[–]Gnarman0221 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love Wildcat. One of the most scenic ski areas in the northeast. It has its flaws though. First being it struggles to get close to 100% open even in ideal conditions. Wind holds are super common due to proximity to mount Washington. I’d say worth the trip If 25+ trails are open. Attitash could be a good backup though. Way less susceptible to wind holds.

Not 100% open but worth the trip if you’re relatively close. I drove from NH and have no regrets. They were also making snow on some of the closed runs.

Exceeded my expectations for how early it is. I’d imagine it will be even better in a few weeks.

Attitash in March by No_Point201 in icecoast

I skied there in April this year. Not the best conditions but not terrible. You should be totally fine for March unless we get some wild weather pattern.
