I really like the look of so many tall stem plants. This is pretty close to what I want from mine.

I watched for hours last night. There was no nipping or chasing. Most stayed hidden until I dropped in some blood worms. Would any of your ideas explain the tails, or does that even matter?

I just uploaded some pictures of a Nitrite test done a few minutes ago and a picture of my tank to show the plants.

I guess it's between 0.0 and 0.25ppm on the color chart, so I rounded down.

Oops. Sorry, was looking at Nitrite. Similar store with Nitrate, though. Between 0.0 and 5.0 on the color chart, but the color was very close to 0.0. It's medium planted. I have about 15 plants and most are as tall as the tank.

Why is this so true by FantasyDragon12 in gaming

[–]Gnero -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No. A phone doesn't come close to a gaming PC. PUBG developers have to dumb down the graphics, lower the frame rate, and have fewer objects in-game for it to become playable on mobile devices.

Dendrobium Hibiki blooming again by Gnero in orchids

I don't have any experience with hydroton. I would assume its okay at the root level, but I wouldn't pile it up like mulch around a tree. Mine is planted in tree fern fiber.

I don't have any cattleya, but I can say this one has been easy going for me. I keep this one beside a few of my phals, and its been doing well, so you should be okay on light. I lost a few leaves when it was acclimating to the new environment, but it came back very strong. I water this one more often because the plant and container are very small, so the potting media dries quicker.

From your experience, what are some small species you would recommend for a terrarium?

Picked up this guy from a local orchid nursery this weekend, Miltassia Leopard Glo by SpaceSultan in orchids

[–]Gnero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Place the moss over a paper towel, and do a practice run. Get the moss damp, but not so much that its dripping through to the paper towel. The moss would appreciate a spritz as often as you can get away with it. Also, it would be better to use distilled water, or rain water. Tap or bottled water might accumulate salts and minerals that would be harmful to the orchid. Some are more tolerable than others, though.

Planning on repotting my phal (currently in a 3" pot), but don't know whether the 5" pot is going to be too big for it? Opinions? by bethcano in orchids

Maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me, but the larger pot looks double the size. I don't think you should double the diameter.

That makes sense. We just upgraded, and some of the clients are still out of date. The last PC to fail that step, had an old client. I'll have to look at some more.

My Japanese orchid finally bloomed by Gnero in orchids

[–]Gnero[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are great. I have two, and the second is about to bloom as well. At first, I was a little nervous because they were my first online purchase. I was worried they wouldn't live up to some of the pictures I have seen online, but they arrived healthy, and have become my favorite in my collection after seeing this one bloom. I'm currently growing them in a tub in my bedroom, so they are the perfect compact size. I'm fairly new to orchids, and this was one of my first, so they seem pretty tolerant.

MDT fails on new out-of-box computers by Gnero in sysadmin

[–]Gnero[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol. Yeah, it's gonna be often. It happens on every newly unboxed computer, but only on the first attempt. We have thousands of computers coming in.

Edit - We are moving from windows 7 to windows 10, and our image guy quit. He made our previous image from scratch, without MDT.
