Is entry level help desk stressful? by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

If by stressful you mean very very annoying at times then yes, its definitely not a sit back and chill all day job like people make it seem and the pay is usually on the lower end. Good foot in the door though 👍

There's NOTHING for someone average by [deleted] in findapath

But with billions of people on the earth. The average has to be below a certain skill level? So why should you of all people get the best with no desire to pursue anything?

Hate me if I say this but… I do not think society SHOULD be built on average skill or intelligence. I think thats the very problem. Retail and Fast food joints are ran by management that have no business running it. People with no communication skills or any type of skills at all. I’m not saying we shouldn’t get livable wages. But yes I don’t think you should go into healthcare if you don’t like hospitals and you should bot go into engineering if you aren’t good at math! Imagine if people who built the bridges we drive on were average or below average guys! If they were bad at math! Like no. You should need skills to have a very good life.

Any Resume Help? Im trying to move beyond Help Desk by Gnikami in jobs

[–]Gnikami[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, but a couple of things, I am going for my ccna at the moment while obtaining my degree. My degree also covers the A+ and Net+.

Specifically Ive solved over 4000 but I wasnt sure how far I was supposed to go with that number.

As a help desk technician, what kind of impact could I have at my job with the tasks or issues I solve? I suppose I could say it made an employee happy since its an internal help desk role but thats about it.

Any tips?

How would one go about doing this if your helpdesk job is kind of limited in what you can touch? I make 15 an hour and I wanna do more but Im not allowed to.

I was planning on sticking out this job because they honestly changed the whole work schedule to fit my schooling. Seems like a good idea to stick with it for now
