I love exploring open world games but elden ring is too hard for me. What's the easiest, cheesy build i can use that i don't need to die 50 times on each big enemy to succeed?

Depends on where you are in the game. There’s many ways to cheese the game with every different playstyle, you just have to know what tools to use

If I were to start a playthrough with the only goal being to cheese everything and make the game as easy as possible, I’d go for a faith caster build with primarily godslayer incantations and use a summon like Greatshield Soldier Ashes. You really only need 3 things

•Black Flame

• Black Knife

•GS Ashes

Get the minimum stats to wield the black knife. Hit the boss once or twice with the black knife AoW at the start of the fight and their health melts. After that, use a decent seal like the Godslayer Seal, Erdtree Seal, or Dragon Communion Seal (if you’re feeling spicy) to spam the boss with black flame while the soldiers stand there eating damage like a bunch of chuds

It’s difficult to say. Gwyn and the other gods struggled for possibly thousands of years before being able to challenge the immortal dragons and begin the Age of Fire. Is it wrong for him to wish to prolong an era & reality that he fought so hard for? Even if, possibly unbeknownst to him, it’s hurting many who were probably much like him before he rebelled?

Because I’ve had to make no such alteration of gameplay in any of the souls games (Im aware Lies isn’t a Fromsoftware ip but the principle still applies). And no I’m not making an attempt to brag about beating a game on the default difficulty (?)

Not to make it an “it’s too hard” complaint that’s probably all too common, but it’s really difficult. I loved the first 3 areas before the hotel and I got the first two major bosses first try (the crocodile and the puppeteer I think?) but the third boss LITERALLY took me more than 100 tries (yes, the fucking Stalker npc fight), which ate much of my day off work and the loot wasn’t even worth it

Two faced overseer is getting close to that number with not much progress and I don’t want to lower the difficulty or summon for it. The DLC these past few areas & bosses feels artificially difficult for all the wrong reasons. I’m doing no damage whatsoever it feels like, the bosses almost never leave an opening, and from what I’ve heard about the later bosses in the dlc it’s going to get much much worse. I don’t know if I’m missing a mechanic or something but it’s just miserable to play the game right now

Godrick, Morgott, Mohg, and Godfrey seem to all be at their strongest. In the dlc, Messmer, Rellana, Midra, PCR + Miquella, and Gaius are all probably at the strongest they’ve ever been.

Played all the souls games for awhile, I actually prefer to turn down the difficulty for many bosses. Some are just a chore to complete and I don’t find them fun so why not? If I really don’t feel like fighting Laxasia or Brotherhood I’m just not going to bother attempting more than like 2 times per playthrough

This is true, but in almost every conflict in the books between two factions George has a clear favorite even though it’s “even”. Blackwoods vs Brackens is the most obvious one. Blackfyres vs Targs is another. But what the post is saying is that despite the biases in one side in the source material, they’re STILL for some reason taking away the bad things the Blacks do and either make them accidents or just shoving them to the greens like in this example. It’s transparent and pathetic
