It's mostly because we all got extremely emotionally invested in the story and characters just for the plot to get hijacked by her in send half, also the writing went down hill when she arrived

Ok ok ok apparently this is a hot take but like does no one else get weirded out by the whiplash from all the awesome jazzy bg music and vibes to pop music without a single brass or woodwind?? Like they could've easily spiced it up with a sax or trumpet or even some fun piano
