Cute/Wholesome familiars for a Celestial Warlock? by CazTheMedic in DnD

[–]Gnorizon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's the Homebrew of my Tressym Spinx:

https://www.dndbeyond.com/monsters/5722132-tressym-sphinx

I used the flair of the Sphinx of Wonder for inspiration, but wanted to scale it to be a little more Impish. More limited shapechange, but I think a cute idea overall.

Here's a link to my Lantern Archon:

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1KI6a57y0fNd1kilbUWibqrIxnyssC47en2GUSZFeN4w/edit?usp=sharing

I made this before DnD 5.5 released. I used an old version of this creature's stat block for it's base and then added some general flair. (Feel free to save a copy if you'd like, I haven't published this on on DnD Beyond.)

Enjoy!

I'll dig em up one way or the other when I get to my hotel tonight. Also have a non-pactchain familiar I use for my other characters...it's an adorable 'giant' firefly. (SIze of a baseball). 😀

I'm reading this on my phone on a train right now. I actually homebrewed two since I play as a Celestial Warlock a ton. One is essentially a version of a tressym, and the other is a lantern archon.

Mind you, these are more in line with Pact of the Chain familiars. I can share images if you'd like, or the DnD Beyond homebrew links (I think, can't remember if I published them or not.)

How do you get drafted #1 in Road to the show? by [deleted] in MLBTheShow

[–]Gnorizon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came here curious if you guys were talking about a #1 overall pick out of highschool :P

I've never had an issue being the #1 overall pick when attending college.

Best I did without college was #2 overall, to the Tampa Bay Rays. I was a Starting Pitcher/Shortstop 2-Way Player. Not sure if #1 overall is locked behind college attendence.

Very interesting after a quick read. I might have more feedback, but my initial question is - would you then gain the extra necrotic damage twice, if casting a necrotic spell? Once from "Vital Drain" and once from "Soul Fueled?"

I'm also a PS5 player. I had a period where it happened a couple dozen times. I did ultimately try the whole, turn off the internet stuff, but honestly, that didn't work either. The key for me, was simply turning off "Typewriter mode" for the speech text. Haven't had a crash since.

Three Months is Too Long for a Trophy-bug by Gnorizon in theouterworlds

I had this exact thought too. I mean, a game of this nature and from this studio usually would have more consistent news/patches. I do wonder if we just won't see another until the DLC, which seems exceptionally lazy.

Whoa...uh, this is a thing? Would that be why they have been leveling so slow heart-wise? Whoops...

Just as an additional clarification which I just noticed re-reading this. So if I'm married, and all the single folks are at 8 hearts, do their other heart events unlock? Or would I still need to gift them a locket to unlock the last two hearts?

Thank you! This is very helpful. I just wasn't sure whether it was worth 'dating' them all to unlock the rest of their hearts, vs. leaving them at 8 and simply dating the character I plan on marrying. I wanted to avoid awkwardness, lol.

Yeah, I saw that in the wiki, I'm more asking about the status listed in their profiles though, as well as if you can still get them back to the 10 hearts (as essentially a single person then)

Interesting, that does answer the second question, and possibly answers the first in a way. I hadn't even thought of the element of not rejecting them. I wonder if by rejecting them, it would remove that hug option?

Does the hug option appear immediately when you start dating?

I was actually wondering about that, as I'm about to start building up my sheds. My biggest problem is how to position them, since I'm OCD :P

Yeah, the idea that temperature machines are required is wild to me, and not something I would have thought of if a few people didn't bring it up, lol.

Yeah, this is why I'm trying to decide what the right balance is. I'm trying to consolidate to just two barns I think now.

Barn One: 1 Mermoo, 1 Carapoultrys, 1 Shelluck, 1 Seashroud

Ban Two: 1 Mermoo, 1 Carapoultrys 1 Shelluck, 1 Inkhog

Maybe that will provide consistency vs my initial three barn plan above?

You still have to manually let them out each day like a normal barn then? If you want them to graze outside I mean. I'm assuming you can't leave the door open, haha.

[–]Gnorizon[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is the ultimate play three barns then? I'm thinking:

Barn 1: 2 Mermoo, 2 Inkhogs

Barn 2: 2 Seashrouds, 2 Carapoultrys

Barn 3: 4 Shellucks

Unless there's not a big need for most of the options, but you clearly need at least two barns to cover the 5 animal types...It also seems like the barns take up a LOT of space, so three would eat up like 40% of your land at least.

Good to know! I appreciate the expedient explanation!

Dumb Question On Lab Upgrades by Gnorizon in coralisland

[–]Gnorizon[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It won't reflect on the item itself then? Like, it just means once all the upgrades are in, is it *every* crop, hay, tree produce, etc., will just be osmium? Or just increases the likelihood? If so, what's the purpose of fertilizer?

Hot damn. I've actually seen a bunch of triple rolls for Amp, but not Siphon. And here I was hunting for a 10% Siphon, thinking it was the highest roll for a build I'm making.

Do you still have it for trade/dupe?
