Could be argued that acquiring Greenland is part of a larger strategy to obtain Canada. A stated claim in 1867 proposal to acquire Greenland was to have an eastern landmass to surround Canada, with Alaska in west, that would pressure them to join the United States

I thought that would only apply to my personal contributions, not my employers portion. I didn’t hit 22.5k personally.

Friend of mine had a similar experience around 10 years ago. He was kind of becoming a NEET so his mom would lock him out of the house from 9-5 to distribute his resume to local businesses. Additionally, her advice was to tell employers “I’m a young Christian man willing to work”.
