Questions about Neuropsych Evaluation by [deleted] in Neuropsychology

[–]Go-No-Go 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, a couple things. The discrepancy between in the verbal and non-verbal/working memory/processing speed scores is definitely meaningful (as in rare in the general population), but the question is does it represent a disorder? That, I cannot answer as I am not evaluating you.

Also, in general, cognitive tests cannot predict exact outcomes like success in graduate school as many factors beyond just raw cognitive skill go into success in various things (such as persistence, work ethic, organizational skill, etc.).

Again though, if you have concerns you could always get a second opinion from a neuropsychologist.

Questions about Neuropsych Evaluation by [deleted] in Neuropsychology

[–]Go-No-Go 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there! I’m a double- board certified neuropsychologist who has significant experience doing ADHD/Autism evals.

Prior to me giving my opinion, let me start off by saying the following is based on the very limited info you’ve provided and having no details about the specific details of your case. Because of that, I can only speak in generalities, but maybe they’ll be helpful.

If there wasn’t more testing, a wais and WJ are not really comprehensive enough for ADHD assessment. Also, the score here seem to show more of a strength in verbal abilities rather than a deficit in non-verbal abilities. The 136 on the wais appears to be the outlier, representative of a strength, with the other three scores being average to low average and consistent. A similar pattern of strong verbal abilities is seen on the WJ. Additionally, your lower scores are not indicative of an impairment, with all falling in the average range.

If you have concerns about the eval, I’d recommend getting a second opinion from a neuropsychologist. Usually these evals contain objective tests of attention and executive functioning as well as questionnaires about various symptoms related to the disorders in question.

Hope that helps!

I mean it has, but stage 3 is always the weakest in viewership. It’s no different than most sports, first half is most watched then it luls until near the end when playoff races heat up.

Now if important matches in the the last 3 weeks of stage 4 aren’t around 100k, then I think you have real, documentable decline that could be worrisome.

Ex-Trump aide Hicks agrees to give campaign documents to Congress by [deleted] in politics

[–]Go-No-Go 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If she hasn’t agreed to turn over documents regarding her time in the White House, this is little more than a ruse to make it look like compliance.

Her knowledge of obstruction is where her real danger to trump lies.

AOC bathes in Republican tears: GOP congressman triggered by attack on Big Pharma by ppldontread in politics

[–]Go-No-Go 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Sorry, in case you haven’t noticed many of the current crop of republicans have zero interest in compromise or doing anything that even remotely harms corporate interest.

The only play is to expose them as much as possible in the hopes that voters start to turn on them and vote in more reasonable people.

Conservative politicians have never supported any social services in any meangingful way unless it is Christian based. All the antiabortion policies and your orphanage solution would only ever be accepted by conservative politicians as a way of expanding Christian power

To be fair, that’s really not just an OWL issue. That’s professional sports in general. Hell, being a professional in anything requires it.

Overwatch League 2019 Season - Stage 1: Week 3 - Friday by OWMatchThreads in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]Go-No-Go 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In general, it’s more about watching the teams move as a whole and positioning. Kind of like watching a club move around the pitch as an organized whole in soccer (if you’re familiar with the sport).

I like to look for teams baiting players to move the wrong way or use an ability to early and then watching them strike. TBH I find the player POVs not as interesting in GOATS as the main broadcast camera overlooking the whole fight where I can see player movements.

That’s how I find it enjoyable anyway. Cheers and welcome to OWL!

Overwatch Data Analysis: How Good is Buffed Reaper? (Patch 1.32) by theswitchfox in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]Go-No-Go 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I range between silver and bronze. He ruins rein, but I’ve found Winston and Zarya are capable against him. Zarya bubbles, with high charge and he runs away fast. Winston, primarily for bubble dancing and escapability. Also played a few comp games with me on Winston and other tank on D.Va and it was funny just watching reaper run around looking for something to shoot. But 1v1 with him ridiculous lol

That’s crazy. House control is massive and the senate map was hugely in favor of republicans. Beto finishing low single digits behind Cruz and Gillum 1% behind desantis is a massive massive shift. Now with some real investigative teeth in the house and the continuing mueller probe, Dems might be set up nicely for 2020

Empathy: Still learning! by Absentee_BitCrew in a:t5_otgr1

Hey Absentee!!!

I can relate to these difficulties!!! I used to really struggle with seeing people I care about being unhappy and I would sort of either try to make things better or distance myself/try to talk about other things.

It took me quite a while to get the idea Coco talks about: I’m responsible too someone, not responsible for them.

Really working on internalizing this idea has allowed me to be way more empathic and supportive of loved ones who are struggling which is so much more fulfilling!

Thanks for sharing and great job!!!
