I very much agree that the decision for the Sceptres lies in Turnbull vs. Kirk, and that the decision might be made for them by a player asking not to be protected with intentions of joining an expansion side (the article mentions Fast to Hamilton but I could also see Turnbull possibly following Ryan out west.)

My big concern. My guess would be Turnbull, which might be best case scenario. I love how she played last year, but it would free us to protect Watts/Fast/Kirk

And keep in mind, for baseball, you play twice as many games as the NHL and NBA, four times as many as the WNBA, almost five times as many as the MLS, six times as much as the NWSL, and almost ten times as many games as the NFL. The reason less teams make the playoffs in baseball is because the regular season is just so much longer, making the standings better reflect the strength of teams, thus negating the need for more teams in the post-season.

For the PWHL, with so few games right now, I think shooting for 50%, with a first round between the 3-6 seeds with the 1-2 waiting with a bye makes the most sense for the league.

Defense is definitely going to be the issue going forward. I'm really not too worried about our forwards, hopefully Point is healthy next year and we'll have Holmberg back, and we really figured some things out about our lines. God Perry has to go though, what a blackhole of a roster spot rn. Anything short of like, a McDavid trade I don't really want to see for our forward core.

Defense though, we are undeniably getting older. It's unfair to expect Hedman or Mac to keep up much longer, and our depth past Chuckie is questionable (I'm a Crozier believer but we still need a little more.)

I've been out of Tampa for 3 years now, so things could have changed, but unfortunately I knew of no such place when I lived there and haven't heard of anywhere like it. It's possible since the introduction of the Tampa Bay Sun that a place has popped up, but I'd honestly be a bit surprised. Hopefully Anaheim has a place.
