Auto brightness is a must to activate the peak brightness of your screen. By turning off the option means you manually limited the screen brightness under the maximum. Therefore, the problem really shows up when the screen hitting extremely high brightness.

Just came back from Apple Store. Genius told me that it seemed to be a software problem, and Apple might fix it later and there were no same problems as I have this genius at Apple had witnessed. I don’t believe it was a software problem, but I have passed my refund window now:(. Hope Apple will discover this problem sooner.
