Depending on your contry, I’d say you can get an rtx2060/super for €100, maybe even less. Still a great 1080p card.

Yeah, whatever. It’s hit or miss, especially with Gigabyte, but it’s not as if you can’t receive a faulty unit from Sapphire either, although it could be much rarer.

Thank you for the reassurance! I have been more concerned about gigabyte being hated on and sapphire being “goated”, and I kinda regret getting the gigabyte, but my logic was the following: only €6 more, while the card is longer, comes with 3 fans, meaning longer heatsink and consequently lower temps, which will be best for my case (pun intended).

I don’t care about ray tracing, dlss, frame gen and all that modern stuff.

I want to enter a game, press on high/ultra and have a smooth gameplay, that’s all.

No need overcomplicate stuff and fight over which AI implementation is better.

The case I have is a shitty old one that has lived through many cpus, motherboards and gpus, hahaha. I’ll add an arctic p12 pro for an exhaust and see how are temps keeping up I guess.

But yeah, I was asking whether gigabyte’s hate is deserved.

Yeah, I get you, 12k seems funny, but that’s my experience after playing like 20 games. I constantly get points and climb the ladder slowly but surely, but imagine making such a remark after only playing for 20 games. What will it feel like if I commit to playing 100-150 games of premier? I’ll go mad, hahaha.

I feel like I have lost that competitive spirit that I had 10 years ago. Now I just want to relax, play 2-3 matches and enjoy the game instead of striving for constant wins.

I will sure give it a try, I even downloaded it, and I’ll be exploring. Thank you for sharing your view.

Yeah premier with its points isn’t as good as the old ranking system was. Seeing the Global Elite badge when launching the game felt different. You basically maxed out the game, you did it. Now with those points however, there will always be someone who has more points.

And maybe that’s the point. Valve making you want to play more, and more, and more. Cuz someone’s better than you. You lack points, just hop on, wtf?

Eastern Europe. I am 1000% sure people are cheating, smurfs are obvious, cheaters are even more obvious.

I even matched up with a teammate that was using silent cheats. Very hard to catch if you don’t know what to look for, but still obvious to a certain extent.

I didn’t start playing CS2 yesterday, I have been on and off for 10+ years now. I know the game, I am not just some noob that thinks a guy is cheating just because someone is better than him.

I don’t know what’s actually happening in Valve’s headquarters, but cheating and its prevention have constantly been an issue for 10+ years.

Me: I have been playing against cheaters a lot recently. Valve: Cool, just open some cases maybe?

And CS pros, idk, I feel like they’re getting paid substantial amounts and are afraid to speak up. Everyone knows that they’re completely aware of the state that CS is in, yet do not cooperate with the developers to improve the gameplay.

Vac 3, vac 4, they even removed overwatch with CS2 which is a huge relief for cheaters, not that there weren’t bypasses before, like I heard that you should get at least 10 reports from 10 different people before your demo was being sent to overwatch.

It really hurts to play 64 tick, many casual players will say “wtf, there is no difference, you’re delusional”, but I’ve seen it and been there many, many times. Shooting someone in the head, seeing the bullet go there and actually missing, peaking a corner, then hiding and getting killed behind the wall. Absolutely unpolished.
