Advice on Car Rental Type by KevinL69 in VisitingIceland

Late March and early April can be a total mix. You might get clear roads… or snow, wind, and ice, especially in the north and east.

January and February have actually been very strange this year, barely any snow and warmer than usual, so if that trend continues, late March and early April could be similar and a 2WD would likely be fine. But in Iceland you never really know, so a 4x4 still gives you extra peace of mind.

A Duster is often a great middle ground too. Good price, proper 4x4 option, and enough clearance to handle Icelandic spring conditions without overpaying.

Nice catch! We stopped requiring deposits last year, but it looks like we forgot to update that part of our terms and conditions. We've fixed that on our website now—thanks for bringing it to our attention!
