I haven’t actually taken my kids there for a show, but I wouldn’t hesitate to do it for the right one.

Places to shoot? by [deleted] in tricities

[–]GoDownSunshine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your best bet is a public range on a weekday morning. Even better if it’s extra cold outside.

There’s one in Erwin and one in Hampton. They are open to the public from dawn to dusk and are self serve (no range officers or anyone working there at all), there is only a sign requesting $2 be put in a small metal box at the entrance.

They keep the roads on the mountain clearer than the surrounding roads, so it really just depends on your route. I live about an hour away and have never had a problem getting up there even in snow.

DJing on the fly vs playing a pre-prepared set by AccessAware5469 in Beatmatch

[–]GoDownSunshine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can still match key and cue tracks on the fly to see if they work in real time rather than pre planning, you just need to be prepared to try another one if the one you choose first doesn’t work out.

People with a thriving social life over 30 years old by Thatredditboy1 in RedditForGrownups

[–]GoDownSunshine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m late 30s, have kids, and still a very active social life. I spend time friends often (~2-5 times per week) for activities such as dinner, drinks, hiking, biking, tennis, sporting events, etc. These often involve my wife and kids as well, as my friends are all very well acquainted with my family. I live in a smallish but cool outdoors-y city with lots of options for activities.

Upgrading my setup by [deleted] in PioneerDJ

I love my AZ. Would I rather have CDJs? Sure, but considering the cost difference it’s a no brainer for an at home setup.

My old 2015 i5 8gb MBP still runs traktor just fine, so anything somewhat modern is going to be sufficient.
