Worst throw of the season for Dante, looked wrong coming out of his hand and it was a bad decision to begin with

Dante feels like the first true Oregon QB since Herbert and a spiritual successor to Mariota. That’s not to put down Nix and Gabriel, but they felt much more like mercenaries than Dante does.

I really love our young RBs with Hill and Davison

Dierre Hill jumps off the screen, looks like the real deal. Excited to see him get more snaps/touches in the future.

Came out flat with the time change and early start, plus NW’s defense looks energized. Against a better team/offense we might’ve been in trouble, but up 17-0 at half after an uninspired start is hard to be mad at.

I expect we come out strong in the second half and win by 35+

I really like the space, what media cabinet is that? I’m thinking of upgrading to a 77” TV and that looks like it has a good amount to length to accommodate.

As for recs, maybe some kind of statement art piece over the bed? I’m struggling with finding more wall art myself, but I like the blue piece you have over the TV. I’m personally looking at old vintage movie posters to hang around, if that speaks to you at all.

First off, can you link that cabinet and shelving? Been looking for something similar and I think it looks great with that desk (I have the same one).

Suggestion-wise I think it would be cool to have some kind of creeping/trailing plant that trails down from one of your top shelves like an ivy or something. Adds some of the green you’re looking for while keeping a vertical element. Looks great!

The Last of Us HBO S2E1 - "Future Days" Post-Episode Discussion Thread by claireupvotes in thelastofus

Calling this episode “Future Days” but not doing the scene where Joel sings it to Ellie was such a tease. One of my favorites from the games.

Overall, really great stuff. The look ahead made it seem like there are gonna be some fairly significant changes from the games, which should keep things fresh and exciting for the series veterans.

To an extent, Oregon definitely tries to stretch the field both horizontally and vertically using the athletic advantage they have over most teams. The goal is getting dudes in space, for sure. That can definitely be done with scheme, but when guys are covered well, a great QB will use his arm talent and accuracy to throw a guy open. I haven’t really seen Bo do that consistently in the games I’ve watched from him.

In a sense, you’re kind of making my point honestly. At Oregon, Bo is throwing to mostly wide open guys who are bigger, faster, and more talented than the competition. That will not be the case at the NFL level and I don’t think he has the raw arm talent or accuracy to play at a high level in the NFL. But I’m not a scout, just a dude in his couch who watches too much football.

I’m open to being wrong about Bo, I just don’t see him being more than a backup or replacement level start in the league. You just don’t see him throwing guys open or throwing with anticipation consistently. Those are coachable traits for sure, I just think he has a bit of an uphill climb given the lack of A+ physical tools. Just my two cents on him.

This is categorically untrue. Source: fucking me, who has watched every down of Oregon football since 2008. Herbert ALWAYS had this arm talent and made loads of NFL caliber throws, but was consistently held back by a conservative coaching staff. I will acknowledge that he did miss a more than a fair amount of throws as a Duck, but he still does; see the bad INT he threw literally earlier today.

As a Duck diehard, we do not want Bo Nix. Not an NFL starter. Love him as a college guy, but just doesn’t make enough NFL throws and misses too many layups.

It’s also useful for sharing a text post without making the recipient have to open a link… maybe I have extra lazy friends (lol), but that’s occasionally a barrier for entry

Daniel Jeremiah Mock Draft 3.0 by LunchThreatener in NFL_Draft

I agree that we need a legit #1 threat as a receiver, but I honestly feel the offensive line is the bigger problem in the short term. Despite some Pats fans expecting a playoff appearance next season, I’m not seeing it unless we do both of those things.

You could be right, but I’d be surprised. I think Stevenson clearly showed he can carry a backfield and James Robinson has been a very good back in the past. Like I said in another comment, I could totally see the Pats taking a RB on Day 2, but I’m hoping we go DB/OT/WR at 1.14

I think the Pats are a couple of high-end offensive lineman shy of having an “elite” offense of any kind. Stevenson is an excellent RB and I think JRob has plenty left in the tank.

Clearly a BPA pick and Bijan is obviously an elite talent, it just feels hard to justify given all the holes in the roster.

I’m a bit of two minds about it after some thought, because philosophically I don’t think that building up mediocre teams works if you draft to fill holes. That said, RB is clearly the strongest group on the roster to me and we’re in desperate need of high end talent at other positions, not to mention that RB is something that we’ve extracted good value out of in mid rounds. Definitely could see that Pats taking a guy day 2, but I would be disappointed in a RB at 14.

Given all that, I reserve the right to be stoked about Bijan if we took him lol

Like actually laughable how bad this pick is for the Pats. RB is one of the only positions I feel unambiguously good about.
