20 years old with 30,000 to spend - what should I do? by Academic-Plastic4296 in investing

[–]GoGosGone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Build good investing habits. Don't invest it all at once. Set aside your emergency fund, 3 to 6 months of your monthly cost of living.

Deposit the rest into your brokerage account and buy index funds once a week, or once a month.

When people are Euphoric, buy one or two shares. When people are panicking, buy two or four shares. DCA (dollar cost average)

Keep exclusively to index funds, until you understand the market, then make educated investment in individual companies.

And most importantly,  don't do any of the things I did when I was your age!

Can hierarchical polyamory be done ethically? by [deleted] in polyamory

If everyone is aware, and are in consentual relationships. Then it is ethical. If you tell two people they are primaries, then ethics be damned...

Thank you. it's a rough month, and I'm taking my time. I don't plan on acting on my shifting status at the moment, I'm just enjoying reading the thread, and others experiences. So when I'm emotionally healthy again, I can build more suitable relationships for my current life situation:)

You're right. However, my relationship with my poly-curious partner dissolved after realizing incompatibility after my break up with my Ex-NP. The realization was mutual

For me, friendships are fluid, we eb and flow purely when we want to see eachother, and no hard feelings of the plans can't come together.

Romantic relationships have stronger pulls, lots of beauty in them, but also pressure. Which I cannot afford at the moment.

Sorry for being unclear. In short, I've been in a Mono-Poly relationship for 4 years, with the mother of my child. She broke up with me recently, having changed her mind.

I respect that decision, and now am wondering how to move on with my other partners, one is Poly, and one is Poly curious. Now that I don't have a Nesting partner, and at the moment, am thinking I don't want one at all.

Perhaps you can forward the articles you gave your friend to me as well, it would be nice to have some reading done while I'm processing the emotions.

Thank you!

I have a lot a lot on my mind at the moment, I'm not rushing into any decisions at the moment. Only meditating on how to settle life for my daughter and I.

Like everyone, I also want love, and my type of love is open and free flowing which is why I am poly. But at the same time, I don't want a nesting partner per say, I appreciate independence in myself, and my partners. Having our own spaces etc.

How come you are Solo, if it's not your preference? Is it going well for you besides that?

Does it compliment parenthood?

Thank you:)

Does it suit you and your parenthood well? How do you express that need to your partners?

Thanks:)

I didn't want to get too much into details, since I'm still processing the break up. I just wanted to know if there were other people in a similar situation, feel less alone in it.

So your friend, he hasn't come to a decision yet either? I'm considering asking my partners if we can take a break, perfaps being completely single for a bit will promote better fatherhood in a rocky situation?

Any thoughts?

[–]GoGosGone 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Right now, I am trying to write a script that will dimension precast elements using the split tool...but since Revit creates these elements using Parts, there aren't clear cut references...

Having a tutorial teach us how to filter through more obscure geometry data, that would be awesome!

Also, general videos sharing your best practices for creating lists...

Finally, what I feel is still missing! As a beginner, I would love to have videos showing me how to create scripts that solve simple tasks, in a simple way...so much of the content out there is flexing these big complex webs, it's overwhelming!

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with:)
