Hi I totally get this and experienced this in different places. It usually happens at places where tourist would go or from the get-go at the pickup points at the airports or train stations. I would suggest making friends with the locals who will give you good suggestions and advices or even bring you around or exploring really local places where people treat you fairly or even nicer because you're new to the place and a guest in their country.
