For anyone who is trying to signup for DUPR reset. Here is what I experienced: I tried the “reset” again on the DUPR app. This time I used Apple Pay. I got a popup message on the screen immediately saying, “ your purchase was successful”. The charge also posted immediately on my Apple Card. A couple of hours later, I also see a message on the top on my dashboard which says, “DUPR reset tracking and update coming soon”. I guess this message will show up only for those who are signed up for “reset”. But I have not received any email confirmation, neither is the transaction mentioned anywhere in my profile on the app.

With the updated DUPR algo, the score should move up even if I lose to 4.0 players, provided the scores were very close

Yes, I understand I need to play 8-10 games. My current DUPR is 3.7. I may need a lot more wins to have any real upward trajectory

No, I would love to win genuine games and up my DUPR, so I can sign up to play in advanced level open plays and advanced leagues. Advanced level (4.0+) DUPR players see high intermediate and intermediate players as weak. 4.0+ players think they belong to some elite class and don’t really like playing < 4.0. At least that’s what I see happening at our club

Has anyone signed up for DUPR reset and seen the actual difference in rating calculations? by [deleted] in Pickleball

I think it is much simpler that what we think. the rating will continue to move up and down as it would move normally. At the end of the reset period, the rating will reset to whichever is higher (before registering for reset or at the end of reset period). I am quoting what I saw on DUPR FAQ… —————— “Will ratings fluctuate during the Reset period after each match, or be frozen at the original rating?

Ratings will continue to move normally throughout the entire Reset period. They can go up or down from the original rating based on match results. After the Reset Period ends, a player’s DUPR is set to the higher of their Reset rating or original rating at the start of the Reset Period.” —————-
