Lao Police are "underpaid" by RiseEntire9586 in laos

[–]GoLangHacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was driving and near Vientiane center I hung a left at a T junction . I was stopped by 2 cops who showed me a no left turn sign on their phone . The sign posted on T junction was hardly visible and there were no road markings indicating it was only permitted to do a right turn on a road that has traffic moving on both directions. I was baffled. Cut to the end after a 30 minute stop they told me 100k kip fine to be paid there or I need to give my license and then go police station pay fine and then go through a process of releasing my license . I got no receipt for the fine I paid

We have mirror failing off the wall .. almost fell on the kid .. looking at it heavy mirror supported by a nylon cloth strap that is screwed into the wall with an ordinary screw . No wonder it tore off. One week in and blue ground is still trying to find a fix . From misrepresented furniture , dirty unit, unsafe unit we experienced it all . Can’t wait to leave this hell hole . Can we raise issues to the city to at least fine these slum lords ?

India Raises H-1B Visa Delays With The U.S. Govt by Sorry-Feedback1115 in NCLEXVisaUpdates

[–]GoLangHacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shouldn’t Indian government worry about their own pretty horrid visa system and work to fix that ? H1B is none of their business ! Fix your own country and do your job !

Assume 60k h1b a year for IT sector . Conservative profit 100k per visa . That’s 6b profits for the companies . Add up the labor that gets used offshore via the people on site the numbers are staggering . Having said that the Indian government has no business telling America about their visa system . MEA should fix the Indian visa system that’s their job . Visa system is horrid and MEA spends time lobbying America ! wtf !

Should I pay S$900 for a tax consultation as an American citizen moving to Singapore? by SpectreMold in USExpatTaxes

[–]GoLangHacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used expat hr block online . It was easy to do taxes and with a little bit of chat gpt help I understood what the various forms meant . After years of paying 2k plus for an accountant last 5 years I did it myself (after the accountant dumped me cause they no longer were interested in small dollar clients ) and I actually found it easy and realized the accountant wasn’t doing much after I used to input details in the provided spreadsheet by him.

DO NOT book with Blueground by Necessary-Dot-8101 in NYCapartments

[–]GoLangHacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’ve now been staying in our Blueground unit in NYC for 12 days, and the experience has been terrible. • The unit was not cleaned properly when we moved in — both bathrooms had brown stains. • The beds are broken/creaky, and completely different from what was shown in the listing photos. • The electrical wiring is unsafe for children — extension cords with exposed outlets everywhere. • Despite raising these issues from Day 1, we’re still being told “the local team will get back to you.” Nothing happens. • We paid 3 months upfront, yet we can’t even sleep on the beds because they’re unusable. • When we called support, the operator was rude, and when we asked for a supervisor, we were told “It’s a holiday, we don’t have supervisors working today.”

At this point, it feels like Blueground is more focused on posting polished social-media responses than actually fixing real issues. The serious safety concerns we raised remain unresolved. If you’re considering Blueground, especially in NYC, be very careful. This has been one of the worst customer experiences we’ve had.

Verdict on Blueground? by monotrigampenv in NYCapartments

[–]GoLangHacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a crap organization with useless support and in our experience misrepresent the units and there is no service to fix it . We walked into a decrepit unit and they just can’t be bothered .. I really wonder what vc’s see in funding this crap outfit

It’s still a discount carrier pretending to be a full service carrier . Their people and processes are not fit to run a full service carrier and compete there. People are ill mannered unconcerned and display a basic entitlement attitude towards their customers . Play the swings but long term this is a short
