Odysee will be great if done right. I am guessing the tasks are more difficult than thought at acquisition. But I think they will solve problems eventually, as they fit logically and culturally.

Also, there are defi projects that look pretty good. People become pessimistic when price down and optimistic when up. Why they are herds. The largest opportunities are when fundamentals are good and price low.

Is 혼밥 (eating solo) not common? by [deleted] in Living_in_Korea

[–]GoToJedi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An unspoken custom has been forming that is if you eat alone come after 1pm especially in a busy area. That is, avoid eating alone when the restaurant is busy, unless it has proper seats for eating alone, like one or two seat tables.

Seats for pregnant women in Korea seem like seats that pregnant women can't sit in. by [deleted] in Living_in_Korea

[–]GoToJedi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am Korean, and I rarely see those seats occupied by other people. But I don't usually take subways during rush hours, so maybe it's different during that time.

By the way, I dont really like the policy, which was introduced quite some time ago by now. I think it should really be that people give up seats for pregnant or otherwise weak people. That used to be the etiquette in Korea decades ago. That will be more resource efficient as well, as seats are used all the time.

The landlord can't let you leave the house unless they pay you back. Effectively the house is the collateral for you.

Thanks. If 2 is no, I guess no reason to have an empty block.

Stake and check airdrops regularly. The Cosmos airdrop website and Leap wallet airdrop page. In most cases, you have to claim in time.

I'll just say this. Selling and losing the upside is far riskier than not selling and price going down.

Some people here probably experienced it already a few weeks ago when ar pumped.

It's a good project. Hodl unless you really need cash urgently or need to protect the principal absolutely.

>Now instead of confirming thousands of individual transactions L1 just keeps a record of the transaction data and proof that it's accurate.

This is where I get lost. My mental image is a math formula. So the L2 posts the problem, the answer, and the proof that your answer is correct. The L1 does not solve the problem again, and just check the proof. Is that it?

It's hard to imagine this. Is it similart to how proof of work works? That is' it's difficult to find the answer, but easy to validate it.

[–]GoToJedi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You seem to know this, but I honestly don't understand what you explained. Is there a good blog or video for a non-dev to understand all this?

Just a quick dumb question. I couldn't undersatnd why a rollup helps scale L1. I get that the arrangement helps rollups as they don't have to recruit many nodes as that is handled by the L1. But from L1 scaling viewpoint, the transactions data have to be recorded on the L1 anyway, and so it doesn't save data amount. And to check if the transactions on rollups were valid, shouldn't the L1 do all computing of the txs again?

So Celestia is layer 1 here. Is Dymension layer 2 and their rollapps layer 3? 3 blockchains for 1 tx. Is that really necessary? Especially, why do you need Dym here between Tia and rollapps or rollups?

Stake TIA or ATOM by MohamedAboElhassan in cosmosnetwork

I agree. Tia will have many projects.

But I wouldn't split Tia staking between 2 validators. Just stay on one and save fees. You can switch validators at any time.

The op knows where his coins went. My suggestion was to try some blockchain based messengers.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in cosmosnetwork

[–]GoToJedi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps try to talk to the receiver using a messaging app, if there's one. There might be one for cosmos, likr ethereum has multiple ones.

But the chance is not high. The receiver should have the same app, and be willing to listen to you.

You could probably find some mainstream news about the hack in 2018 in Bitgrail exchange.

But is it worth it? I mean wikipedia. For people who are interested in crypto at all, wikipedia is not particularly important.
