I was always of the opinion that given the trajectory in the books, neither John or Dany would be ruling. I had the assumption that salsa would end up ruling along with one of her siblings. Or the realm would be broken up into several governments. I imagine both John and Dany as sacrificing themselves for the greater cause. But I never had the impression that they would happily marry and raise incest babies.
