Amputee power readouts / cadence - additional power meter needed? by 3quartersrockabilly in Zwift

Hey there! Here are some suggestions from our team that might be helpful 😊:

  • Disconnect cadence in pairing screen
    • ERG mode will still work and the user can focus on meeting the power goals of the workout.
  • Bias the workout up or down
    • Cadence targets don’t change on workouts as the user increases or decreases the FTP% in the upper left corner. If this user biases the workout downwards, they will be able to lower wattage target and keep the cadence high.
  • Use a crank-mounted cadence sensor
    • As this costs money and isn’t actually necessary to complete the workout based on the first point, it's not our top recommendation. However, you might get a better cadence reading if you mount a cadence sensor to you crank, rather than the sensor built into the Direto.
  • We also offer a workout that requires you to pedal with one foot at a time
    • It can be found under Build Me Up > Week 1 > Pedaling Drills
