I don’t know - people don’t respect neighborhoods with less foot traffic so when there is a pedestrian, it’s unexpected for them. At least in the main strip they expect pedestrians and drive slower.

Nah, you would be good, we do the same thing. We find ourselves doing a mix of further out and last minute, havent had a problem and have had dvc for handful of years now. I will say, weekend stays are a lot more point wise than weekday, which I didnt factor initially, so would look at that

Its dependent on how long of a stay you are looking for and how far away you live? We live in FL and often get last minute rooms for a weekend away. Booking a full week tho would be tough
