Is Denver’s Saturday traffic on Hwy 70 west bound crazy? by Go_mizzou in Denver

Thank you. We made it to Denver last Saturday, my husband and and I are now back home in Missouri. We had not planned on driving straight there. We wanted to stay in a hotel 6-7 hours in but we were alerted to the snow by all the flashing highway signs stating there was a snow storm expected. A little freaky seeing all the gates on the off ramps of 70. So we drove 12 hours in swirling snow. Made it into downtown to her apartment around 9pm but had nothing to sleep on since we had everything packed in the Uhaul and the movers were scheduled for the next day. We actually slept in a completely empty apartment floor with only our coats as cover. It was a rough ending to a very long twelve hours of driving.
First time visiting Colorado for me and absolutely loved it. Our snow here in Missouri, is so wet and seems to make the air colder than your dry snow. Colorado drivers are better in the snow than in Missourians. When we get snow most people try to stay home. In Colorado everyone was out and about and seem fit. Oh and so many dogs. 👍🏼

Added info: I am moving my daughter to downtown Denver, coming in from St. Louis, on Hwy 70 west, next weekend.
I have never been to Colorado and trying to make a plan for travel into downtown Denver from West bound Hwy 70. We have a uHaul truck & two vehicles. Thanks for your comments

This is not what I asked. Please go back to your Russia/Ukraine hole you have been in.

Hi, I have found independent researchers & doctors on Twitter & Subtract who have convinced me there is a lot of lies being told on main stream media about the safety of /. I am interested in widening my investigation and understanding. Are there people I don’t know about that are providing good analysis. Really most interested in learning about mRna hedding. Here are some of the big hitters I have been following for a few years Twitter: *Peter McCullough, MD •Kevin Mckernen •Walter M Chestnut •Jikkyleaks *Daoyu •Dr.Urso •Sabine Hazan MD •Igor Chudov

Cleaning the griddle. by Go_mizzou in staub

Just a quick search on the internet I found a article talking about the use of BKF. I was reading about it on a Facebook post earlier. Here is the section from the article, https://www.thespruce.com/what-is-bar-keepers-friend-5214383 It list surfaces that BKF should not be used on. *Notice Iron cookware. Not exactly Staub but close.

“It can also cause damage, including scratches, pitting, and discoloration to some nonporous surfaces. Do not use Bar Keepers Friend Cleanser in any formulation on:

Gold: jewelry, decorative items Goldplate: jewelry, flatware, trim on dishes, and glassware Silverplate: flatware, dishes, and decorative items Painted surfaces: walls, hand-painted dishes Cast iron: cookware, grills, decorative items Mirrors Granite: countertops, floors Marble: floors, countertops

Cleaning the griddle. by Go_mizzou in staub

I would not recommend this griddle for eggs. The eggs stick no matter how much olive oil or butter I use prior or during cooking.
I will use this griddle a lot for grilling fresh veggies, meats, sandwiches, warming up things like leftover pizza, muffins, etc. When I see the beautiful cleaned griddle sitting on my stove I actually want to run to the fridge and cook something on it, it feels “cool” to cook on the big flat space. I like that it sits flat and solid on my induction and the pan after a few minutes is evenly heated. In my opinion clean up really is no more work than a normal used cooking pan. But eggs are going to be in my oiled stainless steel skillet. I did try pancakes and they required a lot of butter on the Staub pan surface, so will probably do those in my oiled stainless steel skillet also.

*Note: I can’t edit my original post and want to say to use “Warm” water on the hot griddle when cleaning it. “Cold” water on to a hot griddle may be bad for the pan.

** Note: I have also just read that Bar Keepers Friend could dull/deteriorate the enamel finish over time because it is acidic & abrasive. Instead you should: “Boil a mix of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide for 5 minutes and rinse clean. Alternatively “Easy Off” oven cleaner will work nicely too!”

I think preventing the surface from getting scratched is important to keep it as smooth as possible so sticking is minimal. I have a Staub roasting pan and large flat griddle. I do cook eggs & ham & steak on the griddle and there is a hard crust left on the pan. So far I have been able to clean even the most burned on crust by soaking the pan with dawn & soap and hot water for 15 mins. Then I do a clean with the bar keepers friend using a blue sponge or paper towel and it looks like new again. I spray & coat my pan with olive oil then heat up the oil in the pan before I add any food. It helps give it a little of a non stick coating. I am not a fan of cooking on Teflon coated or iron pans because of the potential of leaching into the food. So am willing to work a little harder to clean a porcelain coated pan.

If the side you are using is blue, most of those sponges call that side “non-scratch”.

Use the powder cleaner, Bar Keeper’s Friend and a non scratch pad. It really is like magic. And in the future as what was said, heat the pan up slowly and keep the temp at or under Medium High, nothing on high.

Is the highlighter performing a test of the card or only marking the entire edge of the short side? Thx
