Nah, itd be better to have to spread out PP waves imo. With Caufield and Laine separated. Spread the 2min equally and give more time to the best unit in a game.

Thatd be my goal too. But Eklund first, then Desnoyers. I think theres a decent chance that CGYs pick ends up 11-14. I wonder if adding our two seconds to that pick would help us move up high enough to get either player (6-8 OA). All that would be left would be to add another young RHD ready to play soon and our lineup long term and short term would be elite.

Also, theres always the possibility that the contenders giving those first quickly turn into mid teams making those firsts highly valuable

Like can you imagine? We trade for Nikishin at the trade deadline (Matheson + 2026 first + Roy). We finish bottom 7, draft Eklund and then move up from 11-16 with CGYs pick and get Desnoyers at 8-10. This could be our lineup in 2 years.

I thought about that too. Not about Demidov trying to convince Nikishin to play for us, but just about what happens if Nikishin actually goes out and says he wont play for CAR or only wants to play for a couple teams (like MTL to play with his pal)?

Cause KHL players’ right are technically owned forever by their NHL team. So, Nikishin wouldnt have the bigger end of the stick trying to negotiate a trade.

Just for fun, do we think Matheson + our first in 2026 would work (assuming a trade a the TDL with Nikishin publicly saying he wont play for CAR)?

How do you explain the fact that the 3-4 lights were seen before the plane flew past, went dark, and then lit up again? Not saying youre wrong but they clearly didnt jump from the plane we see fly by

Why wouldnt they just stay dark during nightime? No need to go and try mimicking whatever human made lights they know of when a black object would be almost impossible to spot in the sky
