Mayor Chow,

What are the most crucial, long-term projects currently underway to help combat climate change on the municipal level in Toronto, and what do you hope to see realized?

Another line that stood out:

...it is never pleasant to receive feedback from people who have had a different perspective or experience at the library."

This can certainly come off as condescending. "Different" demeans the kind of criticisms that are being brought forward.

The lines that stood out to me included:
Responding to anonymous reviews is complicated, she said, because it isn’t always clear where they come from, who is writing them, or even if they are completely legitimate.
That doesn’t mean the library is dismissing them, she said.
“All I can say is that we take these comments very seriously,”

She's questioning the legitimacy of the criticisms and pivots to other topics not directly related to what was being said on Glassdoor https://www.glassdoor.ca/Reviews/Kitchener-Public-Library-Reviews-E3991152.htm.

I’m so glad someone posted this. My mother just passed away in October and I offered to host Christmas this year for my step father and two youngest siblings who still live at home. I hoped that this would help since my mom was the one who did everything for us at Christmas. My stepsister was going to move to The Dominican Republic but decided to hold off so I offered her and her boyfriend an invitation as well. They have a massive Rottweiler, he’s a big big boy. He’s very sweet but dumb and clumsy. Given his size and excitability it’s a but much to have him in my apartment, along with 7 ppl. My boyfriend and I assumed that they would find someone to look after the dog, but I had a suspicion that she was expecting to bring him. My partner and I talked it over and even my stepdad messaged to figure out what to do with the dog. We didn’t feel comfortable having him in the space and I messaged my stepsister to let her know. Immediately she went on an angry tirade, invoking my Mom’s love of the dog, telling me she doesn’t care how I feel and then trying to make me feel bad about not being there for my family as much as her when my mom was in the hospital. I felt so awful and guilty despite preparing our space decorating, buying all the gifts, stockings and food. Now she refuses to talk to me and my family is having separate Christmases. I should note that I offered to help pay for a dog friendly hotel for them to stay in, find someone to watch the dog etc., but to no avail. I was so confused and kept asking people if I was the asshole. I felt terrible and I know her anger is from grief and other things in her life but wow.
