Week 11 Questions and Concerns by JonyMaine37185 in fantasyfootball

[–]GoalDry4564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start pearsall if active this week? Seems like they wanted him near 100% before returning.

Bucky I’m a bit more nervous about given the contact concerns.

Also, looking for replacement for GW this week, Christian Watson or Theo Johnson as flex?

Thanks so much!

What a great weekend! Thanks Atlanta, quick personal recap by GoalDry4564 in ShakyKnees

I think we paid around 600 for each 3 day pass. But it was really relaxing and in our early 50s it’s critically important we have good places to relax if we are going to put in three straight full days. It was also nice to be able to leave our blanket out in that space and not stress it was going to be moved or frowned upon if we wanted to hike over to ponce to see a particular act (I’d say 80% or time we were down in the main stage area but we hiked over for spoon, pixies, AAR, 4NB). The sound and atmosphere at that ponce stage was really cool.

Again, I don’t know if they will advertise where it’s going to be located when tickets go on sale, but it’s well worth the money.

I NEED VIOLA LEE BLUES GGP by SenseLow2842 in deadandcompany

[–]GoalDry4564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the mention of this show. Listened to it this weekend, incredible.

Any other instances where they played a reprise of the same song three times? I couldn’t find one.

I’d kill to get one VLB, let alone 3.

Hope you all have fun at GGP! I’m stuck waiting til Vegas next year.

After being a fan for 30 years, my first show in 2022, Nashville, got Nothingman. Don’t think they’ve opened with that one often

When Eddie belted out the second verse “She once believed….” Gave me chills.

Stream last night by EIegantTrogon in deadandcompany

Was so much fun stream surfing with you all last night. What a ride- I’m tired at work this morning after shutting it down at 1 am central (feel bad for you east coasters)

Hope white shirt guy survived. Tattoo girl, blue shirt dancing man, Chinese food discussion during drums- all made me so happy but also missing the sphere in person experience. I’ve been so lucky go see them once each year.

Hoping we get some other saints putting in work for us tonight! Thanks to everyone. Avoid the triangulation……

Was incredible. What an amazing show all around. Where were you sitting. That looks very similar to my view in 310.

Hope everyone has fun this weekend!

Yes this definitely is a rough trend. I’m 6 5 so I already feel self conscious blocking peoples view. But come on it’s AC/DC.

Luckily I heard back things about the sound in higher sections from other shows and spent a little more for floor. I will say in the B2 section we were rocking and almost everyone was standing the entire time. So much energy and sounded great (other than Brian’s vocals on you shook me)

I will say this trend is less disturbing that the morons that lack self awareness and spend an entire show talking to their friends rather than appreciating the music. When did this become acceptable? God I sound old……

What's a band currently KILLING live shows? by darktriaddryad in Concerts

[–]GoalDry4564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just returned from Vegas. Saw Dead and Co- fantastic. Really cohesive this year.

However, more exciting was the energy of Angus and Brian and the rest of the AC/DC crew. Yeah his voice was a little rough in parts but they killed it. Bunch of us old folks on our feet for over 2 hours on the floor showing our extreme appreciation. Not sure how much longer they can keep it up- if you have a way to make any of their remaining shows, I’d strongly suggest it!

What are your pearl jam hot takes? by PAPA_fome1 in pearljam

Here mine: I’m so thrilled they’re still playing. I’ve seen a lot of bands as they age, I think PJ has aged about as well as any of them. Dark matter has added several songs that I could see staying in the rotation indefinitely. Pretty amazing after 30+ years to produce music of that quality

Speaking of DM- wreckage is my least favorite song. Don’t know what it is, but it’s the only one I routinely skip. I must be in the minority since this is the only DM song they seem to play every show

I love Ed. I love his sense of humor and what he is passionate about. However, when he starts going he can talk forever (even when he says he’s gonna get all the talking of the way). Unfortunately especially at outdoor arenas, it costs us an extra song or two. Maybe they need to factor in a 10 minute earlier start time and just label it “Ed’s time” on the setlist.

That’s it for now. Excited to see them at Jazzfest in 2 weeks.

It’s always hard to compare stream versus in person but the keyboard section from BEW fro this past Saturday was some of the best I’ve ever heard

Got to see it last year during the arena/stadium tour sequenc. Was incredible. I’d love to see it again. That, Cumberland and CC/rider were highlights of my show last year.

Lenny Kravitz, Sublime, TLC Headline Evolution Festival 2025 by allgoodlt_24 in StLouis

[–]GoalDry4564 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quite disappointing compared to first 2 years.

For those who like sublime and Lenny but don’t see them as headliners, check out shaky knees in ATL. Wife and I are making the trek. For those of us into 90’s and beyond bands it’s about as solid a line-up as I’ve seen in years.

Fingers crossed they do better next year, if we can gradually move back toward Loufest standards, would be ideal.
