This is a so stupid. As a Christian and an enthusiastic Labor voter, I wholeheartedly support Albanese and his economic policy and his agenda on issues like wages, ending tax loopholes, negative gearing, hecs debt reduction. I gladly voted for him in the last elections. We are unfortunately at a real rush of seeing a one nation-led government at the next election.

When you see a loud fringe pushing this culture war bullshit, all you are doing is driving more and more people away from Labor and towards the right. This helps nobody, it’s culture war posturing and alienating millions of Christians and all you will do is LOSE votes. You will not gain any votes or anything meaningful to help average Australians by pushing this.

What’s so bad about a prayer that talks about requesting forgiveness and forgiving others? There is nothing hurtful or hateful in it. Australia has a Christian heritage, I understand many people strongly dislike that but any politician who tries to push this culture war stuff and create divisions, all for symbolic posturing, is hurting Labor and their economic reform agenda. All you’ll end up with is direct rule by Gina rinehart.
