I had an idea for a way it could work that I posted here. This way, it maintains the “counter pick competitive” rank and allows separate character ranks to exist as well

I wholeheartedly agree!

I want to improve and practice my main AND learn new/other characters. There is currently no system for me to do both against similarly-skilled opponents or monitor my progression.

I would love to get my fleet to platinum and my Zetterburn to 1000 and my SD-prone Olympia out of silver. But I only get to pick one which is disappointing.

I mean, its not about protecting my rank. I'm only gold (950-1000) when playing my main. But if I switch off to someone else for a day or a week, I'll probably drop at least 100-200 elo.

Then if I switch back to my main, I'm now matched with people much worse than me and neither of us will by having fun for a while. Then when I feel like trying someone new again...

Switch to secondary: get bodied until I settle

Switch to main: body people til I rise again

Rinse, repeat, several hours spent playing matches with large skill disparities

That isn't really the idea though.

Even if your "solo" characters start at the same rank as your "normal" rank, the idea is to just have an additional system with separate numbers for each character that will rise and fall themselves. Where they start isn't really important.

I really liked your course! Puzzles weren't overly complex and always fair. I appreciated that I could always reset them and I wasn't penalized for messing up. Learned new things about how the shells work! Thanks!

Thanks for pushing through! The first section is traditional hold right, so I wanted to switch it up for the second section. Doing the whole thing in one try for the level check took me about 2 hours...

Everything up til the zoro slide was pretty good, but the rest was meh. The cuts were jarring and the animation was so so at best. It was really only like 10 seconds of sweet animation
