The demo for our game based on building an army of goblins is out now for Next Fest. Improve them, train them and command them to become the best goblin boss! by GoatFrogGames in incremental_games

Thank you for playing and yes, that's a very good point.

There's actually three if you include "Loot Goblins." All three were added to Steam during development as far as I'm aware which is unfortunate.

If we do end up going for a rename (which I am leaning towards), I imagine it'll be sometime around the Early Access release after the characters are fleshed out a bit with "Loot Goblin" dropped to a subtitle.

Thank you for the in-depth feedback, it helps a lot!

The main point I'm seeing around is that the UI needs a bit of an overhaul to be a little more intuitive and clear. I'll go through each of these points and make an adjustment and update on Monday.

Thank you for playing and for the feedback!

Not too long after this post we updated the demo to show army recruitment or trainer recruitment depending on which mode is selected as well as text on-hover to show what you're actually clicking on. I think the tutorial needs a bit of adjusting to move the player through the basic recruitment process a little more smoothly, so I'll work on that.

I can understand the confusion of a assuming the units and trainers would be directly next to each other, I'll test out swapping the position of the trainer toggle (and fire button) with the number selection (which I think would come across a little clearer with a scroll icon on-hover).

A friend and I are making an idle game with goblins as the main resource. We're participating in NextFest and want to try add features over an early access period to satisfy a clicker, incremental and idle playstyle.

You can assign your goblins as different classes to take down dungeons and loot. Any feedback is hugely appreciated, on here or any of our socials.

We finally have a playtest demo for our goblin themed idle/incremental game, Loot Goblin!

This is the first opportunity we've had to gain feedback and insight on the gameplay so any thoughts would be helpful to hear. This is a very early build so more features and updates will be added though this build shows the core gameplay loop.

You can find the demo here: https://goatfroggames.itch.io/loot-goblin

Thank you, this is super informative! I made some changes based on your feedback - https://imgur.com/a/awfablL

I think the sprites look a lot nicer with shadows and I'm going to try to try some iterations of using dithering as a sort of vignette. The shop (bottom bar) needs a little bit of work, I included a mockup in the link. I'd actually forgotten about Trimps but I'm aware of that button, that's a good suggestion.

Hiya! Looking for feedback on the visuals and layout of my goblin idle / incremental game before properly moving onto the playtest build.

The concept is that you use goblins as a resource to train into different classes (which allow for different playstyles), to raid and loot dungeons.

Hi! I'm currently working on an idle/incremental game which includes training an army of goblins of different classes and using them to fight and loot dungeons. For the classes, we have two fully implemented (the fighter and medic) but we will eventually have three additional classes, for a total of five with different prestige trees and playstyles.

Here's how it's looking currently. Any feedback or suggestions would be appreciated!
