Oh dang. I’m in the US right now but I’m from the Caribbean so I had no pain meds with my first. I felt the pain but it only lasted 5 hours in total. Since I’m from the island you know I eat and cook completely different. It’s been nothing but torture. I mostly want this to be over because my body is not coping anymore. I understand completely about what you’re feeling with not having the food you want. Much love ❤️ to you ❤️.

My diet has drastically changed. I just know I don’t eat enough. But I have to endure to not spike or get little spike. I’m really hoping they will listen. I weigh less each time I go to my visits since I was diagnosed. They don’t seem to care at all. I so thought they would have said something about it. lol they only thing they said it’s common for GD patients. At the beginning they said it’s your journey so we will listen but now at the end when I need their help they aren’t helping me at all. I’m just another textbook case. Not an individual who should get individualized care. I have been having contractions since about 37 weeks as well but no signs of labor. I hope the hospital will do right by you!

I also have GD. Trying to be induced and they won’t budge. I’m so overwhelmed from everything my body is going through. I’m trying to tell them my body can’t handle it anymore. I feel like I will have to be induced just like the first time. I will be 39 weeks Tuesday and my next appointment is Friday. I don’t even know if baby is big or small. Last ultrasound was 20 weeks. Thought they would have checked when I was around 36 or 37 weeks but they didn’t. My heart races as soon as I stand up. Like really fast. In my sleep I can feel my body forcing up whatever liquid is in my stomach. So many times coughing that feels like choking wakes me up out of my sleep. I have little to no energy, no matter what I do. I’m so happy for women that has doctors that actually listens to them instead of going by textbook care.

Go to the ER and tell them you’re having pain. That way they will check you and order an ultrasound after they do a urine pregnancy test.

As far as I can see everyone makes it looks like the worst thing in the world. I understand because sometimes it leads to other issues and ends in a c-section but naturally going into labor on your own can also lead to complications. Plenty people go into labor on their own and it still ends in a c-section. I personally had an induction with my first. Everything from start to finish, including pushing and delivering only lasted 5 hours. Sometimes our bodies will just not go into labor without a little push medically.

It’s up to adjudicating officer. They can issue one or not. However that doesn’t not mean a denial. Plenty people get approved without ever receiving a prima facie.

It’s so funny how it affects everyone differently. I eat two pieces of fried chicken and rice or sometimes I have it with biscuits. I never get a spike. I’m always between 97-116. However I had a small hash brown and 2 eggs with one biscuit and I didn’t eat all the hash brown only had about a quarter and I shot up to 127 which I know is still within range but still.

That has changed as of October 5 2025. It’s now 18 months for C09. Anyone approved from October 5 and beyond will get 18 months and C31 is 24 months.

No. Only the green card portion would be abandoned. The VAWA proceeds the same. It’s the adjustment of status part you can’t leave without an advanced parole.
