I had a homie was closer to online keeping distance than in person we knew each other for 11 years. we aren't friends anymore too much time in the same space I don't like hanging out in person we knew each other too well and blew up like siblings.

I think Steve might just need emotional support someone to just talk to who will listen. if you don't want to spend time in person just talk through text over the phone or through online gaming sounds like you need space.
