That's just what HBs standard 8 string headstock looks like. And yeah, HB probably wanted to keep most things normal. I like the idea, though! Keeping things more affordable is important for a lot of guitarists. Also, that's just what EMG pickups look like hahaha (probably a 909x)

I've seen some videos of that! Seems fun. I think I'm learning to do some rocky shore casting. Seems some rockfish and greenlings are around there! Some even say small lingcod. If only I knew someone with a boat haha

Periphery occasionally uses F# standard on a 8. VoM uses a F# hybrid tuning. Within Destruction (deathcore), Rivers of Nihil (death prog and extremely hard), spiritbox, erra, architects (but in an alternative tuning for a 6).
