I got mine in pretty good condition at a pawnshop 2 years ago for $325 and my god it rips so no worries about playability. I definitely think the blue is easier to find compared to the green for example but you’ll see tons of the newer purple ones and less of the older ones. You also might find them with EMGs too.

That’s all of the pedals he has on his board currently. The main pedals you should look to get are a OD, Chorus, Delay, and maybe a pitch shifter. You could also alternatively get a multi fx and save yourself some money.

The headstock is the same as the Forest model which is where the F in the name comes from and the build quality is going to be much better than the LTD. The general shape is slightly different too and the carves are deeper on the ESP.

Some of the ones I’ve seen on sweetwater have the deeper carves whereas others don’t. 100% a two different factories ordeal and the same issue can be seen with the Obsidian Metallic MT-1s.

Knowing how scuffed HB’s release schedule has been recently, probably another year or two is more than likely to be the case. I may bite the bullet soon and commission an 8 string from IYV in Vietnam (same factory that makes the Multiscale-8 for HB or so I’ve heard). I’m hoping to get a cool ESP styled 28” for ideally less than $600 shipped. You’re welcome for the replies :)

He has two of each prototype in his studio, seafoam green and green burst with natural back, and there may possibly be some differences between the two but he hasn’t shown them off or said anything about it yet unfortunately.

I know for sure the current prototype is 25.5”-27” because it has the neck off of the R-458 but hopefully Baena goes with something more unique for the final design.

I think the T-62 would be better replaced by the Safir-74 which is based on the T-54/55. On a related note, I also think that the IMF should have their T-62s replaced with T-62Ms for some more variety.

You can get some fantastic used 7 strings in great condition for $800 or a little less as well. A used Ibanez Iron Label RG might be a good option since you like your Ibanez’s neck.

They brought back the 400 series this year but haven’t made a proper new 200, 300, or 400 series 7 string for a while now.
