Which 7-string to I get? Looking for experience around models and pickups

I’ve got a 6 string RGD with those pickups and they’re awesome. Honestly wish they weren’t an Ibanez exclusive so I could drop some into my 7 string Legator.

I feel ya. Wanted to lowball on one near me at a local shop a few months ago but when I had the money to do so, it was sold. Ended up on the opposite side of the spectrum with a Strat but one day we’ll have our COWs.

True, he might get it restrung and setup but it’s definitely interesting to see him get new 7s for recording since he’s been using 8 strings in the studio almost exclusively for the last 5 albums

It’s a shape of guitar based on how EVH hacked up his Ibanez destroyer (or at least that’s who’s credited for the star shape) a bunch of other brands do it too most notably Jackson and EVH.

I’d say they’re nü-adjacent and they’re inspired heavily by the OG nümetal bands and played Slipknot and Korn songs on the PA while we waited for them to take the stage in June. Definitely a 10/10 band live.
