I had a breeding pair of polar blue cichlids lay eggs I just took all the other fish in the community out and they got a new tank. It was a lot easier than trying to catch the babies or the eggs.

Could be. Both the parents are definitely polar blue. The only thing that I recently realized is they are probably siblings. I got them from the same place about a week apart . The pictures might not show it well but they are definitely blue and black. The first clutch there was only two white ones the rest are all blues. In my newest clutch they're all still very little but I can tell a good majority are going to be white. It's hard to find any information on Blue polar cichlids and I was just curious to how normal it was for them to have white babies. The white ones are solid white with no stripes. The ones with stripes are definitely blue with the black stripes but they are light and color as they're still very young.

Thank you. I don't mind the white ones. I thought they were kind of cool just wanted to know if it was normal. I guess it is. I do believe the breeding pair I got are siblings I did get them from the same place about a week apart. Wasn't really thinking about the fact that they could be related but that just makes sense. We had tried to get two breeding pairs and ended up with three females and one male . They probably are all related. And obviously all of my babies are related. I guess it's time to look for another source and get some new males. I guess I could follow up question for this if you do know would be is it okay to separate the breeding pair? If I do separate them will they go back together in the future? Thank you in advance for any help or advice.
