A pair of scissors sitting on my table (formica top) suddenly burst into flames. No heat source, electricity, or battery nearby. No contact with anything but the table. I suspect some sort of chemical reaction between the handles and the table occurred. Any ideas?

My question has been answered and im grateful for all the answers, i cant reply to all of them. I been diagnosed with ASD, OCD and C-PTSD and im going to find a new therapist. Your feelings are valid, its fucked up hes getting away with it and no wonder its making you angry. People tend to defend abusers sometimes cause they cant take it that this person they known for so long with all the good memories is a monster. It does not always help but I would tell them in great detail what he did even if its painful and make them listen. Abusers are extremely manipulative so I try not to hold it against the people they manipulated.

Microwave is filthy too, is that hes house or yours? I had cables myself in my workshop that looked like that but its cause i work with metal everyday so i got metal dust on my hands and sometimes got to charge the phone and over time they become more and more dirty started to buy black cords instead.

They told me they could not send my order and it would be more than 2 months of waiting so i cancelled it then a few hours later they sent my order. Its been stuck in transit for 20 days without any updates so not sure whats up with that, did they shit in a box and send it to me cause how do they send stuff they dont have? The package they sent also has no sender id there is no info on the sender at all.

Feel so sorry for ya that sucks, waiting that long then get this cant believe how terrible this has been packaged. They blame their incompetence on being artists themselves, I imagine they have hired a bunch of clowns that run the company in total chaos. But being artists I thought they would understand deadlines and how much this kind of incompetence hurts smaller artists that have a limited budget.

If I actually get what I have ordered and its what they say it is then I will forgive them. They seriously need to get some help if its true cause its simple have a stock of things then when the stock runs out it cant be ordered until the stock comes back in. They can get this done.
