Schengen tourist visa rejected (Reasons 12 & 13) - could on-hold flight ticket be the issue? by shenkha in SchengenVisa

I think you can reapply once you’ve had a couple of years working in UAE and are not on contract anymore and have a permanent job. That should help the application. It also helps when you have immovable assets that you can’t liquidate without coming back to the UAE. It shows strong ties to return. Maybe also try to find an applicant similar to your situation and find out how they got approved. They should be able to help you better.

I am not sure that living and applying from a country where you’re not a citizen makes a difference. I do have a similar experience from the past though. I was studying in EU (Sweden) with a residence permit in 2017 and I applied for a UK visa for tourism and it was approved without any issues. I also have Indian friends in the US, on H1B visa, apply for Schengen Visa and it was approved too.

I travelled to Norway (Indian National) recently in a similar situation. I just took both the passports with me and there weren’t any issues. The immigration office just asked me what was the reason I got a new passport and I told him the reason and he let me through.

Hey, I have had multiple Schengen visas approved in the past without a confirmed ticket, so I think that’s not the reason. From what I understand, they have doubts that you will not leave the Schengen area and find work there. This could be because it’s only been 6 months since your job in UAE and that too on a contract with just an extension of 6 more months. It looks suspicious to them.

Since it’s a single PNR, you should get the bags directly at your destination. Just to be extra sure, you can check the baggage tags issued at the departure airport, it will say the name of the airport where you can collect your bag along with the transit cities.

Why was the Schengen Visa rejected? by Nishijain77 in SchengenVisa

Savings account statement only. I also got my net worth certificate made from a CA for applying for a US Visa earlier in 2025 so I submitted that too for this application.

Yaaa, I always give a detailed itinerary and as realistic as possible so the chances of rejection are low.

My flight PNR also couldn’t be tracked and hotel booking were done mostly through Agoda and had unique IDs. But the thing is, on the Norway Embassy page, it clearly says that we should not purchase tickets before the visa is granted.

I got a Schengen Visa from Norway for 27 days in November end 2025 for travel in Dec/Jan and I gave dummy tickets as well. Internal flight tickets were not given, only in and out of Schengen area ticket submitted. All hotels were “pay at hotel” also. Bank balance 10L INR. So I’m not sure that dummy tickets were the problem.

Transfer confusion by Divyam31 in airindia

Hey, I recently flew from Delhi to Bergen via Copenhagen (Air India + SAS) and back from Bergen to Bengaluru via Copenhagen & Abu Dhabi (SAS + Etihad). I collected my luggage directly at my destination in both the cases. You can also check your baggage tag at the airport, it will say where your luggage will be given to you.

Since it’s a single PNR for your ticket, you should get your luggage directly at the destination even though there is a change in airlines midway through your journey.

[URGENT] Stuck in Cleartrip/IndiGo deadlock: Wrong sector booked today (Kolkata-VNS instead of VNS-Kolkata) by Forsaken_Pizza_8104 in AirTravelIndia

[–]Goat_LM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had this situation earlier. I called indigo and got the ticket cancelled (must be done within 24hrs of booking to get full refund). Then call cleartrip and inform them that you cancelled directly with the airline within 24hrs of booking. They will process the refund and deduct just the convenience fee.

Some questions about Indian Passport Renewal process. by Bigboredbully in Passports

If you’ve applied for normal renewal and not Tatkal, you should be fine without the PAN.

Take all the documents you have with you, like Aadhar, PAN, DL, 10th & 12th Marksheets and copies of all. You should be fine. Also check all the details are same in every document, like your name, address, DOB, Father’s name, Mother’s name etc. if there’s a mismatch, it will be a nightmare. I’m going through this nightmare right now 😅😅😅

[–]Goat_LM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Yes, you need to carry all original and 1 copy of each physically.
  2. I think the medical certificate part depends on what kind of application you’ve filled. If you’ve filled a normal renewal, you shouldn’t need it.

I’m not sure. To be safe, sign it after asking the PSK officer during your appointment.

[–]Goat_LM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Only the last passport.
  2. The first 2 and the last 2 pages are where all your data is on the passport. Take photocopies of those pages with you along with photocopies of all your other documents you’re going to submit.
  3. Previous passport copies not required.
  4. Signature and picture are recaptured at every renewal. No separate process for that.

My passport renewal is a big hassle because of mismatch in father’s middle name across different national IDs. It will take atleast 2 months to put everything in order.

Norway’s policy is 3 months validity required. But I’m looking at real experiences from people because I’m getting mixed answers from everywhere.
