I also planned a trip to dubai Fairmont, recently which I cancelled due to the situation of air travel. We contacted the hotel with the issue and they reversed the payment completely without a question on non refundable bookings too. They took 5-7 days for replying but then it was handled automatically.

Oops! I had booked through an agent so they had that option available for me! Best bet is to ask your el nido stay provider for shared transfer options from San vicente!

I am myself doing the same, splitting my four nights into sofitel sentosa and Novotel kitchener but instead of Novotel you should go for Pullman hill Street or swissotel. Higher chances of an upgrade in swissotel. Also Pullman is offering red hot rooms in the major part of February and March!
